I realize this review is contrary to many others, but we were underwhelmed by Bon Creole. Our party had the Seafood Combo Basket, which turned out to be a heaping portion of assorted deep fried bits that mostly tasted the same and sat heavy on the stomach, and a 1/2 Ham/Cheese PoBoy that was enormous but slathered in mayo and... We happened upon Bon Creole for lunch on our way down to Avery Island. This is clearly a local favorite. Nothing fancy just great food. We enjoyed their wonderful shrimp poboy sandwiches. A half will be plenty to satisfy most people. I tried a whole one and the weighty sandwich arrived loaded with fried shrimp. The food was simply delicious.... More

The best food including gumbo, salads, hamburgers and seafood. Really good and the service is great. They also serve barbecue dinners on Sunday that are really good.

There's chef salad with all the works, grilled or fried chicken, grilled or fried shrimp. The grilled shrimp is my favorite! There's so much flavor and so many shrimp! Love it!! No salad dressing required.

On business in new Iberia the guys took us this hole in the wall. Looks nothing from outside but packed at lunch so ... I had seafood gumbo really good . The others had chicken & sausage gumbo. Crawfish poboy & shrimp poboy. All small portions, the large are ginormous !if you are in town you must go here

Fresh seafood, well seasoned, quick service. We try to eat there once a week. We live nearby. Go early to avoid waiting, outside.

Busy little eatery serving up some delicious Cajun tastes. I had a combo po'boy with catfish and craw fish with toppings as they come and it was delicious. Everyone else had other variations on the po'boys and all were pleased. It's places like this that make a trip worthwhile, but make you wish you were in town for more than... More

I eat here almost daily for lunch during the work week. They have excellent plate lunches, po-boys, and salads. There bread pudding is delicious. Try the corn and shrimp soup - it's awesome! There fried oyster po-boys are well-stuffed and have a great flavor! Very friendly and fast service.
