The huge chairs in the front where the best part of the whole place. The tall skinny older lady who seated us went an hid in the kitchen. She looked to be stressed but there was only 4 tables filled in the whole restaurant. We...had the buffet. An decided to help ourselves since the lady took off so fast. The food was okay but not worth the cost. Everything except the fried foods were dried out, the cornbread being the worst. We had time to fix our plate an start eating with still no waitress in site. The one saving graces was a young lady I had to flag down. Once she realized the other lady didn’t want to be our waitress an we had not even gotten or order our drinks, she became our waitress. She is the only one I came in contact with that was actually friendly an smiled.More
A great place for hometown dining- superb seafood and hamburgers. We love the salad with Ms. Marie’s pickles too. Covid and hurricane hit them hard for a while . Glad to know they are back to full steam ahead
We were traveling through Sulphur on our way to Lake Charles and decided to give Holliers a try for lunch. We both ordered the shrimp po boys and onion rings. The sandwiches were overflowing with shrimp along with our order of onion rings. We could...have shared one sandwich and it would have been plenty. The service was good as was the food.More
When traveling through small towns, my wife and I determine where to eat by finding a restaurant with a parking lot full of pickup trucks. Hollier's Cajun Kitchen met the test and then some. On a cool February day, the parking lot was full at...noon and so was the restaurant. We were offered a menu bit opted for the buffet. With lots of vegetables and local delicacies including a shrimp and cheese casserole, the buffet included a salad bar and dessert (bread pudding and several kinds of cake). We left full. Service was good, and the food was good but not great. But in a small town, it wasn't bad. Worth a stop.More
We came for the gumbo but they have a buffet. The buffet includes gumbo, lots of food options, a salad bar and a piece of cake. We chose the buffet and it did not disappoint. I was thoroughly surprised. Not only was it good for...it being a buffet it would’ve been considered great if it had come as the meal we ordered fresh from the menu. My family decided if we were closer they would use them to cater weddings and parties. The gumbo was one of the best I ever had. My family bought gumbo to go because it was that good. The only thing that wasn’t the best was the corn bread from the buffet but to be fair we came with ten minutes to the buffet closing so it had been out for a while. I highly recommend. I will come back!!!More
I had the Boudin Burger, it was the first time I had boudin, I really liked it. A little spicy but didn’t burn ya up. I’m a wuss when it comes to spicy stuff but I tolerated it ok. It was good size I only...could eat half. The homemade onion rings were great to me. My husband had the steak and shrimp with onion rings and salad. His steak was well seasoned and cooked, no need for any steak sauce. He didn’t like the onion rings like I did, the batter is great but he prefers thick sliced onions, shrimp was great. The service was great, nice waitress. A lot of food had to go boxes and sweet tea to go. Our overall visit was great. Casual atmosphere can bring the whole family. Oh my husband liked the jalapeño ranch dressing for his salad.More
