Visited for lunch with my husband and my daughter. They were really pleased with their food and it did look delicious. Me? I was so pleased as the Gluten free menu looked so promising with a really great variety. Unfortunately all was not as it seemed. Stew and Roast Lamb on the menu BUT the gravy wasn't GF (?) How... We stopped by here for lunch after reading the reviews on TA. The venue itself is very pleasant, nice atmosphere very nicely decorated with artwork available for purchase and tables that have a beautiful view of the bridges. They were relatively busy when we arrived without a reservation but they seated us no problem upstairs. Our little one had fish... More

After previously visiting here a couple of times with my partner we decided to go 11/01 for my birthday dinner. We arrived and requested a table for 2 beside the window as it was quiet, I was told by the female waitress in an abrupt manner that she was going to put us there. We waited 15 mins or so... More

I visited The Rail Bridge Bistro with my mum and dad who were staying in the nearby Hawes Inn. The restaurant is in a perfect location with views up and down the Firth of Forth and we were lucky enough to get a table by the window. Our servers were very efficient and friendly, especially the lady who took our... More

We stopped here for lunch. We were given a table upstairs by the window, so we had a view of the 3 bridges. Mr partner had the haggis starter which he thoroughly enjoyed, he then had the homemade steak pie, which was very good, filled with big chunks of succulent beef. I has the lamb which was also very good,... More

This cafe/bistro provided us with a decent breakfast in interesting surroundings. As a bonus there are good views of all three bridges that cross the Forth. A pleasant change to the bland and samey chain cafes. The only downside is that it doesn't open until 9am so may be a little inconvenient for those like us who prefer early start... More

We popped in here for morning coffee and wished we could have stayed longer. This is a popular eating place with great views. There was a lovely range of home baking and refreshments on offer. It was reasonably priced and served Illy coffee which is always popular with my family. Service was friendly and attentive. Plenty of people were eating... More

I think this is probably a great place for mainstream breakfast without complications but that's not how it bills itself... I asked for decaf coffee, smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and gluten free toast. The decaf coffee was instant, they didn't do smoked salmon and eggs but I could opt for fillet of salmon at £13 and no gluten free... More

Come here many times with family, always good but a little pricey but then you have a great view of the historic rail bridge and the road bridge

Revisited for a leaving do. Steak had no veg or sauce unless you paid extra . Steak was pretty small for the expensive cost. Again desserts were around £6 . All in all not worth the money. The view is nice and staff were friendly but expect better food for the prices they charge
