They stopped serving dinner in the main dining room for over a year now. Eating downstairs just isn't the same. Besides the menu isn't the same either. Please Bethel Inn open the main dining room again. We miss the old world charm. It was so romantic with the ambience and a piano playing beautiful music.

We were a large group and the restaurant opened on an evening they are normally closed. The service was great and all meals came out at the same time for each table. Their homemade rolls are fantastic. Each dish received raves and the desserts were equally very good.

As 22 Broadstreet was full with waiting time of one hour - and no guarantee of being fed - we were redirected to Suds. Though the ambience was lively, the food was uninspiring. The signature Clam Chowder was as good as anywhere else. Bison Lite had more greens than meat. The Seafood Sampler was literally a Sampler with minuscule pieces... More

On our last day in Bethel we ate breakfast here. Totally enjoyed the beautiful inn and the service. Our breakfast was exactly what we were looking for. The pancakes were of a thickest batter which made them have a wonderful texture. Just like home cooking. Great coffee, too. Will go back again.

Was recently there while on a visit to Maine. It had been years since I was last there for the bar scene when I was younger, The food was delicious.

We were a group of 5 that ate here on Valentines day for the Fixed menu dinner. Before the dinner we were able to get a special deal for myself, who did not have a partner to share the dinner for 2 with. We started out with their wonderful, warm warm bread and butter. The meal started out with nice,... More

We were a large group that ate here on Valentine's Day. They had a fixed menu that was very nice. The food was good but the service was mediocre. Our waitress was very pleasant. I am not sure if they were understaffed or what the problem was. We never received any of our courses at the same time, half the... More

We have been eating here for over 30 years and I am so disappointed and don't trust the food anymore. Just for starters one of our party of 4 ordered steak frites. The steak was so over cooked it couldn't be cut with a knife and the chef forgot to add frites?? We also ate downstairs at the Suds and... More

The Lamb Chops were excellent and the Seafood Medley was very good. Although they advertise a Pries Fixe dinner for two (which was a bargain), they no longer offer it.

This smaller restaurant is located in a beautiful old building in the small town of Bethel. Food was not only excellent but what made it even more enjoyable was the presentation. Service was very good. Dessert was also very good.
