A great place to have lunch on a sunny summer day. Although they have inside dining, we tend to favor the large deck which overlooks the Damariscotta River; it's a tidal river, so the views change often - even though it's about 12 miles upstream from the ocean, we've even seen seals swimming opposite the deck! Even though the menu... More

This place has wonderful views of the Damariscotta River. You can watch boats coming and going. You can sit inside or outside on the deck. The ambiance inside is not great. Service is friendly, but often slow. Food is good, nothing fancy. My favorite is the fried clams and the Fisherman's Platter. Go to the bar to visit with the... More

I jumped at the chance to try briny Pemaquid oysters on the half shell, right out of the Damariscotta River. Excellent, with a local ale. We made up a lunch from an assortment of seafood appetizers and sat on the porch, looking at the water. Rustic atmosphere. Parking is crowded, advise adjacent public parking lot.

Very very good steamed mussels. In fact, it was a goo deal as an appetizer and would have made a great entree, at a lesser price.

The steamed mussels were very very tasty, and other food was okay. It gets busy, and is pretty rustic, but the seafood is fresh as can be.

Three years ago, my husband had the best lobster bisque/ stew, so we had to return. Unfortunately, they ran out of the stew so we both had lobster rolls. Perfect. Just a thin roll, and all lobster. Butter and mayo on the side. Like I said , perfect

Stopped in quick for some beer and Pemaquid Oysters. Can't go wrong there. Sat outside, and enjoyed the river view. The menu didn't seem too intriguing so we continued on...

We went to four restaurants during our weeks stay and in my opinion it was the best because of the tasty, good quality of the food, and even lesser in price. I had 2 one lb lobsters and my better half had a lobster casserole and the clam chowder. He was oohing and ahing over his as I was ooohing... More

My wife and I visit here whenever we are in or near Damariscotta. We were staying in Boothbay Harbor and met my sister, who lives in Damariscotta, here for dinner. We had our usual fish and chips and fish sandwich. My sister had the sauted fish. Some of the best haddock we have ever tasted. Would highly recommend to others... More

The food and outdoor seating were wonderful however we were really put off by our hostesses outfit. You get to make only one first impression. The hostess was polite and showed us to our table but her very short shorts were inappropriate for the workplace. We had the double stuffed lobster roll which was delicious. I was glad they served...
