If our meals were anything to go by - fish pie and bouillabaisse - then we wholeheartedly recommend! Very attractive pub, comfortable, warm and friendly welcome, reasonably priced, good choice, excellent beer. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and we wouldn't hesitate to go again.

We had a very warm welcome on a cold, foggy and damp evening. It was well worth the drive up from Swanage. Simply can't fault the quality of the food. Friendly and menu savvy staff, great variety and selection, served up in a fabulous old stone and beamed bar, with a crackling real fire. What's not to like? Highly recommend... More

Arrived late on a Friday. Warmly greeted by staff even though busy with their Burns Night celebrations. Great food and service.

A group of six for Sunday lunch. We had previously visited just for a drink, but the carvery has a good selection of meats and self service for vegetables, again a good range, and gravy and sauces. Quite reasonably priced, and with a good quality, this is a good spot for a Sunday lunch. However, the speciality is fish, so... More

We ate at The New Inn a number of times during our stay at Kimmeridge and every meal was excellent. There is an extensive menu, service is good and the Inn has character and a nice ambience. Prices are good too.

Good food, friendly service, reasonably priced. Good range of fish dishes, which is unusual. I had the sea bass which was excellent.

Having visited the New Inn before and finding ourselves in the vicinity, we decided to call in for a light lunch. We had not reserved a table and it was busy; we were told that we were welcome to take one of the reserved tables - providing we would be finished in an hour. Perfect ! We all had the... More

Jan 2nd, a Bank Holiday and a sunny one. Hence, a crowded bar and many wishing to eat, many wanting to pay up for meal just consumed and many requiring drinks. Well gone 2pm so didn't fancy our chances of getting a meal. However, the staff on hand had it well under control and we were soon seated with drinks... More
