Be prepared for this to be similar to either Bob Evans or Shoney’s. We had fried pickles which were actually excellent. I ordered a hamburger and my companion ordered the pot pie and a side salad. The salad was huge. Nothing special but it was...More

Hi cllsrr: Our apologies that you were disappointed, and also that we didn't appropriately handle the situation. Not sure why you were charged for something that wasn't satisfactory. We typically get very positive reviews of our Chicken pot pie so I'm surprised it wasn't up...More

Ordered Hamburgers here and to my disappointment they ran out of the famously acclaimed buns seeing as this place is a bakery as well. We waited 40 min for our food because the manager went and bought buns somewhere. The server was nice and reassuring....More

Food was ok. Nothing as good as some of the local owned places that we have eaten since we have been here. Wouldn't go back for the price.

First impressions reminded us of Friendly's, but definitely a notch above. I went with the Lobster Stew and was surprised that it was packed full with lobster meat (I don't think it commanded an $18 price tag, though) But you could see that this place...More

Amazingly huge cinnamon rolls, incredible pastry assortment. The gingerbread was tasty as were there muffins. Staff was super helpful and genuinely interested in ensuring a great experience! Will visit again.

Was referred here by a 'local'. Popular place, about a 10 minute wait, but very friendly, clean, and good food. Daily specials and desserts that are outstanding. Family friendly but also has an alcoholic beverage if you feel the need.

We ate here as a family and didn't get what we expected. Our kids have a refined taste as do we so this food was not pleasing whatsoever. The gravy was from a package, the scallops tasted like rubber and the oven baked haddock with...More

Great food and awesome service. Loved the large lobster rolls and dessert! Love it! Trip Advisor wants 100 characters but I said it all 😊

You won't find anything healthy or trendy here, just comfort diner food in huge portions. Great value for the dollar though. Kids love it, especially the HUGE desserts.

Governer's is a well established restaurant with recopies that are tried and true. Traditional pot roast, pot pie, burgers...everything they have is delicious...especially the cheese bites! They offer daily specials at low prices.
