Solid, basic diner chow for breakfast and lunch, and priced accordingly. The cream pies are really good.

Stopped off here whilst on our self-drive tour around New England. We were just aching for a stop-off, a comfort break and a coffee. Very quaint place, loved the jukebox (which was playing!), the coffee was a bit dodgy, but it was hot and quite...More

On our way to Mount Desert Island, we made a last stop on the mainland at Sylvia's for some lunch. My wife and I split a bowl of Haddock Chowder and a Reuben Sandwich. Great food and fast service.

Easy to find, good food, great service... what more can I say? Lots of seating so, even though the place can be very busy, there's seldom a wait.

Sylvia's is usually busy, but I have never seen a line out the door. They handled it with ease. Advised of the wait and got to us as quickly as they could. A cooked meal takes time. Loved my omelet and toast.

I don't go to diners often, so I can't compare it to much else, but the food was tasty and seemed fresh. Things were on the greasy side and service was brusque. Lunch took a solid two hours (kitchen backed up?). It's located inside a...More

Thanks for the review. I am glad you found the food to be tasty and fresh. In most cases parties of 4 or less are sat and served within 20 to 30 minutes at the very most. Thanks for visiting!
