I decided to stray away from my usual take out place. Bad move!!! I ordered the Grilled Vegan Tofu from the Foreside Tavern. Sounded great. Presentation was ok. Taste was super salty. The asparagus stalks in this dish was practically raw but the leaf part was mangled. The black rice was about a third of a cup and the tofu... More

The dining area is separated from the bar and provides a nice atmosphere for your meal. The food is generally good.

We had dinner there on Friday night and we were in the middle of a blizzard, but the place was packed! The food was excellent and the service couldn't have been friendlier. Very large restaurant with lots of space but not cavernous. We did not go into the bar.

After our weekly walk on Macworth Island, this is the place my friend and I go to for a cup of chowder and glass of wine. If we're lucky, we get a seat where we can look out into the woods.

I ordered the calamari salad. The flavor was ok, the lemon pin wheels were a nice addition but all of it was greasy. My companion ordered a salad with poached salmon expecting a piece of warm salmon on the salad. She said it was fishy and tasted like canned salmon. Too bad, I really liked the place when I came... Went here with a large group of family for an 80th birthday party. It was one of the few places I could get a last minute table for 14 over the Holiday break - this should have been a cautionary indication. We had many of the items on the menu given the size of the group. I had a very... More

Foreside Tavern seems to have lost its touch over the past year. Went in for dinner early Saturday night and everything was underwhelming. Fried Calamari Salad was soggy and the fry oil must've been too cold since everything was soaked in grease. Cuban was cold. Bahn Mi had an unpleasant flavor that even my brother in law (who never leaves... More

Stopped in for lunch the other day and once again enjoyed everything - from the quick service to the great simple lunches that featured a mix of specials and regular menu items. Nice having the bagel connection to substitute an "everything' for traditional bread slices. Oh, and the sweet potato fries were a great addition, too !

We waited 15 minutes for someone to come to our table and there were only two other tables occupied at the time. Our server was completely emotionless and responded to our basic questions like a robot. We only ordered light apps and they took 20 minutes and came out cold and under-cooked. The drinks were extremely watered down. We waited... More

I used to meet a friend for lunch at this place and the food, except for the crab cakes, was always good, not great. I had't been to the Foreside in a couple of years. The first sign that things had changed was that the parking lot was almost empty for lunch in the middle of the week. It had... More
