I ordered my usual eggs over easy, sausage links, crispy hash browns and rye toast. I couldn't be more satisfied. Eggs came runny and over easy but the white were just barely cooked! Perfect! Sausage had a nice flavor and my hash was cooked the way i like it, just a tad greasy but i didnt care. The rye toast... More

Having decided to stop and have a late breakfast my husband pulled into the parking lot for the Sunrise Cafe. I am glad he did. A small local flair with local history on the wall the Cafe is a great find. Fresh ingredients, home fries with a special touch of maybe garlic and two choices of GF bread were just... More

We always try to eat breakfast at a local diner, often in strip malls. The Sunrise diner is a good one to stop at while traveling. The food was plentiful and tasty. My ham and cheese omelet was good although most of the cheese was on one end. I substituted a grilled biscuit for the toast and am glad I... More

Have been here many times over the years. The staff is friendly and the food is excellent. Have never been disappointed. Their breakfast specials are always delicious and the coffee is always hot. If in Freeport area definitely recommend for breakfast or lunch

A Local Senior Citizen ( like me ) Hangout. More for coffee and conversation. The food quality and preparation is below fast food. The waitresses are not tuned to tourists. My breakfast happened to be more like those during my college days in Maine 50+ years ago.

I don't mean to be fussy be the omelette and coffee were not worth the 30 minutes wait. Not a bad place but a little disorganized. We stayed there for about 45 minutes and I never saw anyone wiping a table or cleaning around. More like a truck-stop kind of joint than a restaurant.

Came in here to eat while on our way to Main. Service was great and the food was hot. Our food came out quick and was how we ordered it. This was one of the best places we have ate at in a while. I would recommend this place to anyone who asked about it.

This is just what the doctor ordered (minus the cholesterol)---great eggs, bacon, muffins, and more---service is great, family dining, and lots of "Mainers" always there. Yummy, cheap eats, and great diner atmosphere, and open until 2pm ! Enjoy !
