We sat upstairs next to the local athletic booster club meeting. It was fun to hear hometown excitement about the kids in town while we enjoyed our meal. We had the chili which was very good and the stuffed haddock. The fish was excellent, but the stuffing was just Pepperidge Farm. The people were friendly and we would definitely return.

In late fall in the evening not very much is opened past 8 in the area. We choose the Stress Free based on a good location and the fact that options were limited. We are at the bar and both my husband an I had steak. The food was okay and the service was fast. The bartender that took care... More

Varied menu. Can be a tight pack in the early eve as it also the local 'watering hole'. Good food from sandwiches to meals. Try the Sausage and pepper hoagie!

We went here for dinner after a day of hiking. The environment is fun, waitstaff nice and friendly. We got a clam chowder, BLT with avocado and the stuffed haddock. The first two were great. My stuff haddock was not cooked all the way in the middle. It was pretty thick, so I think the heat didn't get all the... More

We stopped by for a bite to eat and had some hits and misses. My husband sampled the split pea soup, which was pretty good ---thick with ham slivers . We also tried the baked potato skins, but found them to be quite disappointing. They were not crispy at all and the cheese they used was flavorless and heavy---not at... More

We walked in and sat at the bar...saw others ordering the Clam Chowder, so ordered the same...SO good. My husband also ordered the meatloaf dinner (as recommended from the bartender) and it was great...they added sausage to the loaf and he loved it. Lots of locals but they were kind to us as visitors...

Ate dinner here a couple times during a recent business trip. The Meatloaf Sandwich was "killer". The dinners around me looked good too. Welcoming locals place. Made our crew feel at home. But don't be a jackass flatlander or you'll likely get pegged for what you are. I'd go back any time I was in the area.

We ate their twice on our trip. Once for dinner and once for lunch. Both times the meal was quick, delicious, and affordable.

Out looking for moose....didn't see any. Luckily found this restaurant on our way back to motel. The parking lot was full so we thought we were in for a long wait, but we were shown to an upstairs dining room immediately. Was a little concerned that we would be forgotten about up there, but NO, the waitress appeared just a... More
