We visited Portsmouth, NH and stopped in at Morrison's for our first taste of lobster on this vacation. We arrived late, I am thinking they were ready to close. But we got seated and served. Our bill was $65 or so (tip included) for two small chowders (served in very small styrofoam bowels), one bottled water and two 1 1/4... More

If you love fresh seafood and want to enjoy it fully, lobster bodies and all, with an amazing view this is the place for you. If you need everything posh including bathrooms, go somewhere else and don't post poor reviews. The staff was very nice and appreciated we listened to their request to keep shells separate from trash. Prices aren't... More

We had a lovely dinner at morrisons! The ladies were especially sweet to my son, showing him the live lobsters and offering sunblock for our son who was seated in a sunny spot on the deck. My hubby ate a a 3 lb!! Lobster and I had a 11/2 lbs lobster. My son had a clam chowder and corn. It's... More

The setting is beautiful -- right on the water. Steamers were so clean and delicious that I had to order a second order of two pounds. BYOB with this surroundings -- what could be better? After a rather small lobster roll on a plain hot dog roll, four pounds of delightful steamers and an undercooked corn, we went to check... More

Small casual deck dining over the river. Great views of Portsmouth and the docks. Lobster roll was about average but delicious. Staff was friendly.

Simple place to eat lobsters the way they should be eaten - fresh, in the raw (ie. just boiled) with a dab of butter. Lobsters were outstanding. You eat on an open deck over the water looking directly at Portsmouth. Alcohol is BYOB. The best view with the best of Maine's lobsters. Can't beat that.

I went with business associates from out of town, wanting to give them a fun and iconic New England dining experience. We were all disappointed on many levels. The owner of Morrison's was rude . The food was mediocre and expensive for what it was. It really hindered our overall experience. The only shining stars were the waitress who diffused... More

Lobster bisque & clam chowder mix was delicious and so was the lobster. But because it's a touristy atmosphere, you pay a high price. Nice to go one time but I won't be back. Also, bring your own drinks, they don't serve any beer or wine and only have cans of soda or bottled waters for $2 each.

My husband and I had been to Morrison's previous years with friends. This year we invited another couple to join us there for dinner. We arrived there fairly early and waited a short time to be seated on the deck. Three of us ordered a pound and a quarter lobster and one ordered a pound and a half. I ordered... More

Nothing fancy here. The price for lobster was $3 cheaper than the Weathervane (Tourist) next door. This place had locals for clientele. The lobster was fantastic. It is a BYOB restaurant. It is, like many lobster places in New England, closed after Labor Day. Would we go back? CERTAINLY.
