We have enjoyed this restaurant since it first opened. They always have consistently good food, nice atmosphere and nice bar.Lots to choose from, appetizers ,salads and main courses.Great desserts ,full bar and a nice wine list.A Bonus is valet parking on the weekends.

In town for business and met my in-laws and family friends for dinner. We sat in the front corner of the lounge on a rainy Wednesday night. Both the lounge and dining room menu were equally impressive and yummy looking. The table settled on the fried olives (a must have) and the steak tartare. Both were perfect starters and well... We weren't expecting great food in Kittery, ME, even though our B&B told us that Portsmouth, NH and Kittery, ME are the food capitols of New England. We believe them now after dining at Anneke Jeans. The atmosphere is casual bistro, so five stars aren't gonna happen. But the service the food and the vibe is really good. We chatted... More

First time dining here. Decided to get a meal on the Restaurant Week menu. The lobster bisque was flavorless. The Pumpkin Raviolis were undercooked and again tasteless. The bread pudding was good. I cant understand why a restaurant would serve such disappointing food during restaurant week, don't they want people to come back? The table next to us warned us... More

We ate here on the recommendation of our innkeeper. The bar is a bit noisy but well designed with tables to one side and the bar at the other. We had reservations so did not eat in the bar. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our meals were excellent. Limited wines by glass menu but our server suggested one that... More

Side menu set by the chef. Absolutely delicious. Had braised short ribs and sirloin steak topped with salsa onion and pepper. Fantastic taste. Prices were reasonable prices. Great Tuesday spot. Will be back

We visited on a recent October Saturday night. We had reservations for 8 pm and arrived at 7:55 pm. We were initially seated at one of the three tables in the lounge area (even though we had a reservation, so be clear if you would prefer to sit in the dining area when making the reservation). The man seating people... More

If you can find your way to Kittery's 'downtown' called Wallingford Square you will find Anneke Jans tucked nicely in the corner. Don't miss it. The menu is considered bistro. We love the bar side of the joint. The bartenders are always on point and the drinks are both interesting and tasty. The ambience is dark, soothing and classic. Make... More

I have family friends who have a house in Kittery; they had been to Anneke Jans previously, and our group of 8 was able to get a Saturday night reservation (it's off-season). While the interior is a little dark and it's a bit loud, we had great service and fabulous food (American bistro). I live in Austin, and I was... More

Just walking around Kittery looking for a bite we happened upon this little gem of a restaurant. We sat at the casual but classy bar with a very friendly bartender and ordered off the lounge menu which was very reasonably priced but amazing food. We had a beef/pork burger with local cheese, cartelized onions, sautéed mushrooms and a tomato jam... More
