This restaurant is situated in the middle of Ogunquit. It's a typical American diner with very friendly staff and reasonable prices. The pie was ok, but nothing special. However, the clam chowder soup was delicious.

When Mom was alive this was her favorite place. Good homemade food. Never had a bad thing. Busy intersection. Never made it to dessert but they look great.

We went to Bessie's for breakfast. Just as the menu describes. Omelettes were the most fluffiest I have ever seen. We visited Bessie's right after the breakfast rush, and we were seated right away. Waitress was very attentive up until the time we were to receive the check. We waited 15 minutes and had to ask another waitstaff where our... More

Bessie's used to be better in past years, but seems those days have sadly passed. We ate here this weekend and had a generally so-so experience. It started off well with a cheerful welcome from the maitre-d and we were seated promptly. However, the experience went downhill from there. Maybe we were unlucky with our waitress -- or maybe the... I have reviewed Bessie's in the past as it had the best Hollandaise sauce and Lobster Eggs Benedict on the planet. We went back this past weekend and all three of us were incredibly disappointed in it. The sauce was so ordinary - no lemon flavor, no tarragon at all. The lobster was a bit tough and I know it's... We had a late dinner in April at Bessie's. Despite them locking the door after our arrival we did not feel rushed or unattended. The meal was very tasty and the service was friendly. We want to return for breakfast and try the eggs and pancakes.

Casual little restaurant serving good food. If you're looking for a good meal for a fair price, this is the place to go.

Happened upon this place because Maxwell's was closed. Have now added it to the list of favorites. Bartenders are fantastic, Guys more than Girls. And the Nacho's were unbelievable - ordered them for an appetizer and couldn't order a meal!

One of the few places open to eat in the winter. We got Turkey Club sandwiches that were very tasty. Seems like a local favorite kind of place.
