If your idea of a great meal is simple cooking and large quantities, you'll be happy here. Open for 3 meals a day, lots of desserts and home-cooking style choices.

Good-Average comfort type food. They do serve large portions of it. The reason to stop by here is to get dessert. The cakes and pies are awesome, and they make real good (and large) whoopie pies.

I've had varied experiences here. They have a great (and cheap) breakfast... I also love the kettle chips that come on the side of many entrees

Just a great breakfast stop when in town visiting with family at Umaine. Wait was normal for a busy a Sunday. Food was really good, service was good. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area who wants local flavor and not cookie cutter franchise places

We stopped in for lunch on a dreary rainy Sunday. The place was full. We ordered Ziti and a burger. The wait was a little long but our waitress was so pleasant and assured us that we weren't forgotten. The coffee is great, smooth and pungent. Our food was very good and a perfect meal on a cold, rainy day.... More

Nice selection of food, pumpkin pancakes were excellent, service (cook) was a little slow with food taking 25 to 30 minutes to serve except for the omelettes which they do faster. Sides were incorrect at times.

This was the last remaining Governor's I hadn't been to and was not disappointed. We both got fried seafood that was crunchy, tasty and a good portion. Their rolls are delicious as well as the onion rings. Topped everything off with a large piece of chocolate peanut butter cake, oh yeah! You can't go wrong here

Buffet was very good. There was fruit, bacon, eggs, hash browns, donuts, pancakes and even a selection of small deserts. Cheesecake! There was more I can't remember it all, but I will say the French toast sticks were hard. I've had the breakfast buffet before and the French toast sticks were hard then as well. Everything else made up for... More

Governor's has great food, reasonable pricing and great specials! Service is good. They specialize in awesome desserts (pies, cakes and other mouth watering treats)! Good service. Casual dining! Thursdays are special kids nights in during the school year. Watch their sign for specials and check them out on Facebook! A traditional place for dining in the Orono area for decades!... More
