Great food. Great service. Great ambience. Easy to find. Huge pancakes! Reasonable prices. Real maple syrup of course...it is Maine.

On our first trip to the area, my parents took us to lunch at Gingerbread House. Being just a few days after Christmas, it was not busy at all. I enjoyed the fried fish and chips. The fish portion was HUGE. My fries were very weird. They were hard and dry. The rest of the meals were good. Dad's Ruben... More

This place has had some difficulty the last few years....so now with a new chef hopefully they will be able to stay open...would hate to lose this restaurant. We were there Columbus Day weekend....soup extremely salty and my roasted vegetable curry was not "roasted"...same steamed veggies that my partner had on his plate with some grape tomatoes thrown in. It... More

We eat here a couple of times one breakfast and one lunch, The only problem with breakfast was the size ,we ordered two plain each and we only managed half of one each, they were fantastic and we opted for the optional extra of pure Maine maple syrup,a must have. The second visit was just as good we had different sandwiches... More

We chose Gingerbread House to have lunch as the midpoint of our scenic loop. There were a number of restaurants to choose from, but the name and design of the building drew us in. Service was wonderful and pleasant, and the kitchen was generous in accommodating a special request. The food was hot and delicious! Three of us enjoyed perfectly... More

We pulled into our destination place but was unable to get in. So we took a drive to find a cooler place to eat. We had the whole place to ourselves. A very nice waitress served us to. Jennifer who was from Mexico ME.

The first meal we had here was a Sunday breakfast. Not being known to the staff we were placed in the corner in the entry area. The eggs and prime rib were very good and reasonably priced. The omelet was exceptional. On Tuesday they have a Seafood Buffet, which included a raw bar including oysters and clams on the half... More
