Always good food although large portions, and the land lady is a very exuberant and lovely woman who seems to really enjoy what she does

Probably the most welcoming pub we have ever had the pleasure to visit. As soon as you walk through the door at The Blacksmiths Arms you know you have arrived at the right place. The landlords and locals are friendly and happy to chat. Comfy sofas by a roaring log fire and good selection of beers and wines. And, the... More

Had lunch here whilst looking for an old roadsign. Quiche was the daily special, £6.95 and pint of soft drink was £2.80. All good prices. Plenty of staff and all very friendly . Clean pub, with about 10 tables. Situated in a nice little village. Food all freshly made on the premises. Will try the Sunday roasts next yime,

Very friendly pub ,owners can`t do enough for you . Obviously the focal point of the village for the locals . Interesting and unusual choices on the menu ,can recommend the mexican beef marinated for 24 hours and then cooked for 9 hours..... so delicious!

Good selection of dishes you may not find in some pubs in the area like Thai Curry and vegetarian tart. The steak would be the one to order as it's said to come from several miles down the road! Some great facilities here for the children in the garden area. A slide and swing, and where the pool table is... More

Had a meal whilst staying at local b and b. Good beer and varied menu. Snacks to specials board. This is a good, honest village pub just as they used to be. Made to feel welcome by the many locals who were drinking at the bar. Will certainly visit again if in the area

Stayed in Devon for a week and ended up going to this pub twice. Good was first class, beer great and staff (especially Julie) were very friendly. Wednesday night is a good time to visit as the pub has the weekly skittles night. Well worth the drive through the countryside to visit.

Visited on a Saturday evening and had a really lovely evening. The owners and staff were very friendly and we were made to feel welcome, despite not being local. As other have said, this is not a fine dining establishment, but it serves good, honest pub food with a friendly smile and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend or to re... More

We had a family meal with 2 children aged 6 and 7. Lovely welcome, main courses and puddings were all delicious. Feel, hospitality and staff were all great. Children play area at the back and toys inside.
