The worst we can say is that the seating is cramped if your party is >4...but our 5th didn't complain, so there you have it! The small space is cozy and visually appealing. The large chalkboard with special menu items, drinks, etc. is visible from all points, and the vibe is unpretentious with an undercurrent of "gonna be good". Our... More

Busy, but we were able to grab a couple of seats at the bar. Bartender was great! Knowledgeable about the menu without being overbearing- just the right amount of attention. We made it for happy hour and enjoyed a dozen oysters on the half shell served with house made cocktails sauce with fresh horseradish. Dinner was the tea brined fried... More

Hot Suppa is one of my favorite breakfast places in Portland. It's a quaint space with a creative selection of items to please anyone. I love the salmon bagel and the grits are wonderful. Try the sides too! They are open every morning at 7:00 and it's become one of my go to places!

Friendly place and the food was quite tasty. We had drinks and appetizers. I had a New Fashioned drink and it was STRONGGGGGG!! Wow! I would recommend the Fried Catfish Tacos and Charbroiled Oysters, but skip the sauteed calamari.

We really enjoyed the brunch food. Everything was delicious and imaginative. The restaurant is small so time your visit accordingly. For example, the wait on the weekend can be kind of long but weekdays we got in right away. Service was excellent.

Had a great Cuban sandwich with some tasty baked beans. Happy hour is 4 to 6 for a buck off the beer (all draft). Very nice staff, you aren't rushed. Not a large place so you might have to wait to be seated. Lots of food choices, tasted the fried chicken which was excellent. Want to go back for a... More

This is a casual restaurant that takes basic brunch items to the next level by virtue of some imaginative ingredients and expert preparation. My compliments to the chef, and to the upbeat wait staff, who kept smiling all morning long. Worth the somewhat long wait time (it's popular). I'll be back next time I'm in Portland.

Was recommended by folks at Oxbow Brewing. This quaint little place has a simple but interesting menu. Had the poutine and it was one of the best ever. The daily specials looked awesome and the Sazerac was on point.

I've been many times and on this occasion a friend joined me who'd never been. We arrived just after 8 am on a weekday and there was already a short line, but we got seated right away at a nice corner spot a bit away from the front window and a greater distance from privileged millennials with noisy offspring. "Betsy"... More

Description
The menu at Hot Suppa is all made from scratch from quality ingredients; local goods are used whenever possible. Our renowned breakfast and lunch are served seven days a week, so you can get that corned beef hash fix whenever you’re jonesing. Dinner is available five nights a week, featuring our favorite dishes, like fried chicken & a waffle, falafel salad, and Maine oysters on the half shell. We offer a full bar service if you care to relax into the evening with a Porch Swing cocktail, or recover in the morning with a spicy Bloody Mary or cold draft beer.
