Love this restaurant and it's sister restaurant Street & Co. Amazing fresh local food. Terrific ambiance. Delicious menu. All fresh. All the time.

This was my husband's and my first time dining at Fore Street. The wine list is extensive and varied, and we found one of our favorites (Robert Sinskey) and ordered a bottle of the Carneros Pinot. On recommendation from many reviewers, we ordered the mussels which were incredible!! We also ordered oysters which were some of the best we've ever... More

We'd eaten here in the past and always loved the food, so when we wanted a nice dinner, this was first on our list. We were lucky enough to get seated without a reservation, and this occasion didn't disappoint. The ambiance is fantastic - we were seated in a quiet room in the back which featured a chandelier with real... More

Birthday celebration with friends. Had reservations and seated at nice table. Love the decor. Waitress seemed a bit put off and a bit impatient with our menu questions. Waited quite a while for meals to come but worth the wait. All four dinners were excellent and good size portions. No room for dessert! Will go again.

It took us a bit to find in the dark (not from the area), but well worth it! Cocktails are delicious and so many options for food! We closed the place out, having about five dishes total - all delicious. But pricy, but worth it. The open kitchen is fun to watch too.

Business dinner for 5 on a Thursday early evening. Reservations are strongly recommended. Local catch included cod& flounder. Oyster selection is limited but satisfying. Clams too - nice surprise. Portions on the smaller but heathy side - good news: room for dessert. I've been there before and am always happy to eat here. I'll be back.

You can't beat the food. Open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant, perfectly cooked. But the cocktails were awful. I ordered a Moscow Mule and they gave me a cup of vodka with a warm bottle of ginger beer on the side. Very weird for a high end place

We have been to Fore Street a few times. Always as a couples night out. The open atmosphere and relatively rustic ambiance may or may not suit everyones idea of a romantic dinner though. The food and service are always good. Everything is cooked over wood in the center of the place. They are always booked way in advance, but leave... More

We have been dining at Fore St. since the restaurant first opened. They have a wonderful assortment of appetizers and salads to start .The big attraction here to us is the wood cooking methods they use. There are many items on the menu that are available wood roasted ,grilled or spit roasted. All are excellent.Wonderful wine list and great desserts as well.Try the... While spending the day in Portland, we were more than excited to score a last minute cancelation at Fore Street - a highly recommended spot that generally requires reservations. The atmosphere is quaint, open kitchen, candle lit tables, hipster clientele. We were seated within moments of arrival so kudos on the hostess stand staff for that. Sadly, that's when things...
