A lunch fave for some years now, the quality of food and service have both declined, apparently following the loss of one of the business's primary people. Not terrible, but not as good as it used to be. Long waits, sandwiches made incorrectly. Given the circumstances better to choose from among the many better alternatives.

Wonderful eggplant parmigiano sub! Gooy and hot with lots of melted mozzarella. Very happy we found this place on our first day of vacation. Nothing fancy. You order at the counter and eat it in or to go. Will return.

Everyone in search of a reasonably priced, tasty breakfast or lunch on the run should have a Punky’s nearby! I’d be surprised if you could find a better place for big, made-to-order hot (steak, meatball, sausage) and cold (Italians, cold cuts, salads) sandwiches, on bread, sub rolls or many flavored wraps, at affordable prices; breakfast sandwiches or eggs to order,... Yes, big portions at a good price. Yes decent food, but watched the server of the daily specials wipe food, particularly cheese from the to go trays with his fingers and instead of wiping on his apron flung it off his fingers, flicking back in the food serving tray. Occurred twice as I stood in line. Ordered a sandwich, watched... More

The Thanksgiving Sub is the best sandwich in Portland. I've never ordered anything else and I never will.

They have several of my favorite sandwiches. you can't get better anywhere ! Especially their Italian sandwich. One problem I've had there is that they've run out of sandwich rolls a couple of times that I've been there. They had to use another sandwich chains rolls and they weren't nearly as good as their own.

Home roasted turkey served as the special turkey and cranberry sandwich($6.50) or falafel on a tomato wrap loaded with moist and fresh falafel, delicate sprouts, tomatoes, and, if you choose, eggplant ($6.00). I omitted the eggplant and opted for extra falafel. There are local snacks tempting you at the counter: Portland Nuts or Whoopi Pies..

this is too easy to drive by. Don't! The thanksgiving sub here is the best in the city. Oven roasted turkey breast, not mere deli slices, and all the fixings. Yum

Punky's has been one of our family go to places for many years. Don't let the unassuming exterior prevent you from going inside. The menus is vast and the value and quality are great. We especially recommend the breakfast wraps for a hearty delicious way to start the day. Your choice of wrap and breakfast meat scrambled with fresh onions,... More
