The food was ok if you like eating of plastic plates. It tasted ok and was not amazing. Would not go back.

Trust me, I like a good tavern so it's not that my expectations were for something fancy. It just didn't have any personality behind the bar and the music didn't fit the venue. Club music in a dive. Didn't make sense. Prices were reasonable and...More

It was a Sunday afternoon on my first trip to Portland and I decided to look for a lunch spot not right in the main tourist district of downtown. I happened upon Rosie's, a block or so away from most of the other shops and...More

If it looks like a dive it probably is a dive. You squeeze too many tables into too small a space & don't have enough staff (nor are they efficient). Avoid this place

Rosie's has good food. The service was not so good and the food took a very long time to come out. The acoustics are not great, so don't go in expecting to have a quiet conversation. But, it does have good food!

My wife and I decided to try Rosie's for the first time after wandering around Commercial Street looking at options for lunch. On a beautiful Sunday, the restaurants there were jammed, so we decided to look on Fore St., one block away. There we looked...More

Walking around Portland and it was about to rain so I ducked into Rosie's for a meal and wait out the rain. I ordered the fried chicken and was expecting a so-so taste but I was shocked that the fried chicken was the crispiest I...More

Dropped in around 8 one evening for dinner. Generally packed with 20-30 year olds. Food was very good with burgers with wafer cut fries topping the list. Limited but adequate draft beer choices.

We had just finished a lobster boat tour, and it seemed like it was a million degrees outside and muggy, so we needed a place that was nice and cool with some great food, and we were not disappointed! It was past the traditional lunch...More

We stopped at Rosie's for lunch. We were seated right away and received standard service. The atmosphere was pretty basic with no frills. That day someone had apparently burned something in the kitchen and the smoke had wafted through the restaurant enough so to be...More

Rosie's retaurant & pub has quite the history dating back to the 1800'sSituated on Fore street in the historical Old Port in Portland.Purchased in 1987 by Steve & Rosie Harris with the desire of making a relaxing neighborhood pub, blending locals and tourists.Well known for our handcrafted calzones, half pound burgers, jumbo wings and fresh baked turkey clubs. We have 15 taps and two of them dedicated to our own Hooker Ales.High on standards, low on pretence makes for a great meal out.We were listed in Esquire Magazine as one of the top 100 bars in the US.Locals have bestowed the honor of calling us, The Cheers of Portland.
