We always fly into Portland from Chicago for our annual trip up east. As soon as we get our rental we dash to Duckfat for a serving of fries - large of course, a couple glasses of wine & all of the dipping sauces. Small, intimate place with amazing salads & paninis! A MUST while in Portland! BOOM!

I have been to Duckfat twice and both times it was great. Great sandwiches and shakes. I recommend the Duckfat original milkshake. The sandwiches are also well worth the wait.

This is a very unique restaurant. We love their duck fat french fries with the various dipping sauces and you can't be adding a milkshake to it

Duckfat made me feel like I was back in Park Slope in Broooklyn; with its intimate but casual seating, locally-sourced menu items and a kinetic vibe. However, since we had two small children, dining in didn't seem to be the best option for us on a Friday night - so we called in our order to go. Fortunately, it's just... More

We shared a small poutine, a SLOW ROASTED PULLED PORK CUBANO and a HOUSE SMOKED TURKEY sandwich. Yum! It was a lot of great food. Our timing was perfect. We arrived just before 5pm and were able to get a table right away.

We went yesterday for a late lunch, around 2pm and were able to get right in. It was very busy for that time of day. Our host was pleasant as was our waiter, all smiles and very efficient. We ordered a panini, the fries (of course, really the reason we came) and the brussel sprouts. All were fantastic and we... More

Last time I did not try the poutine so HAD to get it this time. Yummy! Four of us split small poutine, two sandwiches and Brussel sprout special recommended by our awesome waitress Sherri. She was right on with her suggestions. Fun spot. Very small, shared tables but they get you in and out without feeling rushed. I will come... More

My son and I met two friends here for a mid-afternoon lunch on a Friday, and had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a shared table. Staff was very friendly though and seated us as soon as possible. The place is small, a bit dark and not well-marked from the street, but Portland is a small city and it was... More

Food was delicious! We had poutine fries and duck confit paninis. It's a small, cramped place but it was worth the wait on a Friday night and the staff was super friendly!

I am inordinately fond of this small hole-in-the-wall. It's got a "hip" vibe. Minimalist, bare wood decor. You can't get comfortable here, but the closeness makes for a shared experience. I have no idea how most of the staff stays slender here (other than they couldn't fit in the door otherwise)! The Belgian fries. The milkshakes (no need to request... More
