The corn chowder was ordinary, at best. The salad was fair. A crab and cheddar BLT was terrible. It was expensive for what it was. And the service was unbelievably SLOW! I don't like to feel rushed, enjoy a relaxed pace at a restaurant. But this was ridiculous. I actually thought they had forgotten our order. And it wasn't particularly... More

So the best thing I can say about this restaurant is that the hostess was really nice. Good location, but so-so food, didn't seem to be making much of an effort. For instance, they forgot the cole slaw that came with the dinner, I asked, they brought mine, I asked again, then they brought my husband's. The waiter kept blaming... More

So... It is Saturday night in Portland and we're a young couple with a baby. We just got our little one fed and down for a nap, giving us a two hour window to eat! We kill a half hour strolling through the city looking for a restaurant, and of course since it is a beautiful August evening, everything has... More

Dinner and drinks were just okay. Mussel appetizer was good, but the crab cakes were tasteless. My son enjoyed the lobster mac and cheese, which had 3 lobster claws on top. Pan seared scallops were good, but nothing to rave about. Disappointing that in Portland there wasn't any draft beers. The best part was the live musician playing on the... More

Friends got lobster rolls that had no presentation at all. Just the roll and the meat. advertised as Portland's largest must mean the one that cost about $40. I had the crab, cheddar, bacon sandwich. The bacon was the only flavor it had. Absolutely no flavor. Their version of fries were soft and limp. No seasoning. Will not go back.

We were starving. Hostess was polite and friendly but that is where it ended! We ordered an appetizer calamari and some clam chowder. We also ordered our entree at the same time. Waitress asks if we want the calamari and soup first I say yes. She comes back a while later and says there is a problem. No calamari. I... More

Went in at 1:30 on a Saturday. Three tables taken, so busyness is not an excuse. Ordered 2 Dos Equis beers. Waitress asks if that's a wine. 15 minutes for the beers to arrive ("Oh, they were in the back of the freezer"). Friend orders one kind of chowder and receives a different kind. Orders a salad and a lobster... More

On our second evening in Portland we were looking for a restaurant with good seafood and was reasonably quiet. In walking around, we found this one tucked back in an alley. It was Monday, so they were not busy. We sat outdoors. Seems they are well known for their jumbo lobster, but we are not big lobster fans. I had... More

I am giving this restaurant an average review because of the bad service..We had a guy serve us who was the most unattentive waiter ever. He was so bad that the female waitress came over to check on us several times. She must have noticed how bad he was....lol It wasn't even a busy evening...a weeknight! The lobster roll was... More

My wife and I stopped here for lunch after walking around thr old port area. We both got the jumbo lobstrr rolls and I got the lobster corn chowder. The chowder was decent but overly salted. The lobster rolls were sub par. Mine was the chilled and it was all claw meat and rubbery. My wife got the hot and... More
