In town on business. Stumbled across this place. Enjoyed our home cooked vegan meal! Served buffet style at a very reasonable price. Clean, modest dining room could use a makeover, but it's nothing that deters from the delicious real food at a cost that can't be beat. Their vegan "ice cream" is delicious as is their signature popcorn. If you... More

Whilst the food was enjoyable, the environment was less so. If we didn't know beforehand that we were going to eat here, we would have walked straight past the door as it's really not an attractive place to look at. There was only one staff member when we were there but he didn't really look as if he should have... More

Recently went to Little Lads for lunch for the first time. The food was good but overpriced for the offerings...$6.99 for one round buffet (extra couple of dollars for each round after the first) which was very simple & limited in choices and amouns. Two soups, several entreess, sliced bread and some salad greens. Unimaginative dishes and zero ambience.

The restaurant looked shabby and the staff unkempt. We decided on the buffet. The food was unappetizing looking, there was not very much and nothing was replenished while we were there. It looked like globs of undistict material, we had to guess at what things were. The lentil soup and what I think was chili were the only tasty items. There were no desserts,... As a vegetarian, it was great to have this restaurant option fairly close to our hotel. When we went in, and were clearly tired after a long day of touring, the man working there was so friendly and welcoming to us. We had the chili soup, which was a great way to warm up on a cold day!

We found this vegan restaurant via Happy Cow, which gave it great reviews. I'll admit, had we just stumbled into this place we probably would have turned around and left. It's not all that great looking inside, and it was empty. But based on the rave reviews on Happy Cow, we stuck it out, and we're really glad we did.... More

I will admit, I've had worse coffee. But just once-- in Santee, South Carolina. But this was bad today. How bad? So bad that I needed to go somewhere else to wash the bad taste out of my mouth. Bleh.......

I am not a vegan or even a vegetarian but a happy consumer of Little Lad's outstanding popcorn via the wonderful Cape Ann Cinema in Gloucester, MA. So when I saw a blurb in the Boston Globe for Little Lad's lunch buffet I had to give it a try. WOW! It's like being home for lunch if your mom was... More

How much haddock chowder, rich with cream and butter can a person eat? 2 days worth in my case. What a total delight to come upon Little Lad's. and sorry to be leaving Portland today before they open for lunch because the food is so great, totally vegan and totally delicious. My husband was skeptical and left a believer. We... More

Where else can you score locally made vegan food for $4.99. Their buffet is filled with yummy warm entrees, soup, and salad. Call ahead to see what is in the buffet- be sure not to miss their mac and cheese and chilli with brown rice, YUMMY.
