Eating popovers here is one of the most iconic things to do in Acadia. We came here after hiking the Bubbles and it was worth the wait to sit out on the sunny lawn, eat popovers, and drink blueberry lemonade. The quinoa salad I had as a side dish was one of the best things I ate that week. During... More

We did not have a chance to eat here, but they have indoor & outdoor dining. They also have lounge chairs that over look Jordan Pond. Clean bathrooms and a very reasonably price gift shop.

The popovers at Jordan Pond are a traditional thing to do while at Arcadia. While the food is at best average (and expensive), everyone needs to have lunch here at least once. Lunch on the lawn is great and you have a wonderful view of the pond.

We had our round trip through the island and we stopped here casually: the very kind waitress suggested us the popovers as aside of our meal and she was right. They are a special rise bread served hot with butter, it has been a fine suggestion for tasting them.

We stayed in the area and did a nice loop hike around the pond and also climbed up South Bubble hill on the opposite side of the lake. We spent three hours that morning doing this hike and then wanted to grab a bite to eat. We tried to eat at the Jordan pond house but it was mobbed and... More

We stopped for lunch here during a driving tour of Acadia National Park. This restaurant is part of a larger facility that includes gift shop and roomy eatery on three levels, plus they serve outdoors on the lawn. It can be a very busy place and we waited about 30-40 minutes for an inside table. The service was very good,... More

The wait during the season is easily over an hour and not worth it. Food is fine but not anything special, and the popovers aren't all that great either. Despite being in a National Park, it is expensive. The view is available without eating here, and the view is even more spectacular from the peaks on nearby hikes. Much better... More

We'd been told by several people, "You can't miss the popovers at Jordan Pond," so we made our reservation weeks in advance and planned our day around getting there on time. We visited Acadia late in the season, so we weren't expecting the crush of cars and tour buses. Finding a spot in the overflow parking lot was stressful. When... More

Oh my. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! We arrived for a late lunch about 3 pm after hiking around Jordon Pond (about 3.5 miles, some rock scrambles, beautiful views.) Even at mid-afternoon, there was a half hour wait for a table. The wait was well worth it! We dined on lobster stew and fresh popovers -... More

This restaurant was very crowded when we stopped for lunch, but the 4 of us were seated promptly in a room with really good views of the pond and mountains. Our waitress was excellent and very knowledgeable. Our food was served quickly and was at proper temperatures. In addition all the food ordered was very tasty, including chicken sandwiches, salads,... More
