Beal's is 10 minutes outside of downtown Bar Harbor. Since we were in town with a cruise ship, the downtown was overrun with tourists. By getting a little out of town we were able to avoid the crowds & get a quality meal where the...More

I'm not a lobster lover- but the haddock burger was like getting a 3 piece fish and chip serving! The potato chips are excellent as well as the blueberry lemonade!

Lobster. Ignore everything else and buy lobster only. Yes - you can get great mussels and some “lobster roll” but don’t! For very ( very!) reasonable price you pick hour ( live of course) lobster. They will make it perfectly for you! Don’t use fork...More

I love lobster and I can say for sure that that was the best lobster I eat. It is a simple place, you order in the counter and they weight your food . There are not servers, you take your food to the table by...More

Some of the freshest seafood around, many choices. Lobster Rolls and Fried Clams were great. Lots of farm tables. They have liquor as well as food.

We have visited many local lobster pounds during our week here and would have to say this was the best. Large menu, with plenty to offer those who do not want lobster. Food was well prepared and they even crack the lobsters for you! It...More

Wanted to try a Lobster Pound and this place was authentic. The counter guy had a great personality and helped us pick our lobster. Food was a bit pricier than we expected, but the atmosphere was fun though extremely casual. Basically, picnic tables. The line...More

All I can say is that I have been to quite a few Maine lobster pounds. This was totally unimpressive. Not terrible but very ordinary. All the food seemed to be be neutral as if it had no taste at all. Would not go back....More

As I recall the menu is the same all day. Lobsters are by the pound. Prices on other items run from about $10.00. Specials are on the board on the right as you walk in.

Description
Eat, drink and be messy. A visit to Beal's Lobster Pier is always a highlight - a restaurant that's on the water, with an atmosphere that's down to earth. At our working lobster pier in Southwest Harbor, Maine, you and your family will have a blast watching the boasts coming in and the lobstermen unloading their fresh catch. Hear the creak of rope on the moorings. Catch the scent of saltwater on the breeze and enjoy the waterfront view while chowing down on the freshest lobster you can eat. (Don't worry, the napkins are on us!)
