I have been here often but lately I have found myself disappointed. I really dislike leaving a bad review but since this seems to be a more frequent impression here we go. Three stars because my husband loved his clams strips! Moody's does a good fry! I have never found it greasy so kudos on that. I had the special... More

We have passed this diner scores of times, today we stopped; fortunate us. There was a short wait for a table and then the fun begins. The menu is extensive, breakfast selections appear top notch. We had lunch; a Reuben and a Turkey Club, no sides. Top notch folks, high percentiles for prompt delivery and excellent food. The Reuben featured... More

Not fancy but good food at reasonable prices. Known for pie my favorite is the 4 berry but it's hard to pick just one because they are all delicious. The Reuben is delicious and they have homemade onion rings. A traditional landmark worth stopping at for a meal

Nothing fancy or pretentious about Moody's - just GREAT Down East food and deserts. Best to order seafood, New England boiled dinner or pot roast - however, do not forget a Whoopie Pie for desert - they are the best!!!

I have eaten here more than once and keep coming back for more. The food, breakfast, lunch or dinner, is always homemade, delicious and very reasonably priced with generous servings. If you want go old fashioned cooking for the family, or just meeting up with a friend, this is a great place to eat. The desserts are excellent and include homemade... More

Moody's used to be a wonderful diner where you could stop and get a cheap homemade meal. Not any more. I ordered a chef salad with chicken and it came with two packets of Ken's packaged salad dressing and the salad was awful. The chicken parmesan sub tasted like it came out of a jar of sauce. The cheese sausage... More

Moody's is a fun place, not a great restaurant. I've certainly had better omelets and toast, but for diner fare it's fine. The homemade donuts are fantastic and the atmosphere is like a throw back Thursday. Convenient, right on Rte 1, and an icon in the midcoast area. A must stop if only for the fun walk down memory lane.

I stop in for breakfast. Eggs, bacon, toast, home fries, coffee and orange juice...consistently good. There is never an off morning. My only wish is that they served a richer, darker, more flavorful coffee. I sit in the corner of the bar reading the paper and listening to the conversations of old guys who probably can't recall a time when... More

We stop here to or from Rockland Maine. There's usually a table or a place at the center. The food is average but plentiful. The main dishes come with wonderful biscuits, though the food itself sometimes lacks something. Stick to basics. Sometimes the fired fish is overcooked. The pies however are amazing. The selection is broad, all are homemade and... More

My husband and I have been doing to Moodys dinner since our honeymoon over 45 years ago. No matter what we have the food and service is always good. Price is fair and never a long wait to be seated. Nice to know some things stay the same.

Thank Susan H
