We eat at the Narrows Tavern quite often. Jess is the best waitress. She always knows what we want for "beverages" without having to ask us. The fried fish sandwich is always served hot and is delicious and my husbands favorite. We both love the calamari which is delicately fried and has just the right amount of spicy heat. My... More

Have been to the Tavern many, many times and always found it satisfying. Bartender/waitress was always friendly and very pleasant. Not this time! Recently the great food was enjoyed, but the bartender/waitress was unfriendly and actually rude. She was definitely having an issue about being at work. She took no "care" in doing her job and treated customers like she... More

I have never been disappointed in the food served here. Can be a bit on the noisy side, the people sitting at the bar are respectful of others. No foul language, just a group of people enjoying a drink. It lends itself to be a place the whole family can go.

We were hungry. We stopped a couple of other places but the waits were way too long. Finally found this place. It is a small bar with fantastic food. Our waitress was very attentive and even though it was busy she took good care of us. I had the barbecue sandwich and hand cut fries. I love barbecue and this... More

It's a small tavern, but well-lit and not too loud, considering. There are about 6 long tables and a few small ones, making seating a bit of a challenge. We actually asked a family to share their table with us, which they gladly did. We had 1/2-lb Angus burgers that were out of this world. Cooked perfectly, with delicious seasonings.... More

Not many places to get well prepared food in this town. Of the few places I tried this is by far the best. Turned out we ate here several times because of the menu and the good food. Service is good, and mostly friendly locals eat here. Had seafood and hamburgers, beer is pretty good too. Not fancy but clean... More

Neat little spot with some art and stuff on the walls. Local pub with inviting feel. Our waitress slash bartender was very efficient. Couldn't have a beer do to work but the coffee was good and hot. We ordered a roasted red pepper & Gouda soup and a chili for starters. Both were good and would order again. We got... More

Several years ago, we were visiting Maine and driving through Waldoboro. We saw artists set-up around town painting, so we stopped to see what this was all about. We learned about their art auction to raise money for the town library (I believe). We walked around the small town and stopped in this restaurant for lunch; we've come back every... More
