My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at this delightful restaurant with friends this past week. We fell in love the moment we arrived and we're not disappointed! The ambience is relaxed and lovely. The food delicious and the service perfect! I honestly did not find one thing negative about our time at this great find in Kennebunk!... More

Great selection, attentive service, and tasty food. This is a good place for the whole family. Save room for the ice cream profiteroles and puck someone to share it with. It's yummy and huge.

Our one splurge on a recent trip was supper at the Village Tavern in West Kennebunk. We went early on a Thursday evening and had no trouble being seated. By the time we left, the place was full. It was easy to tell that this was a favorite place with the locals as many folks were on a first name... More

There was a line waiting to be seated in the dining room but we were lucky to find 2 seats at the bar on this Friday early March. The restaurant had a happy atmosphere. It took a bit of time before we could place our wine order but shortly after bread arrived, one regular bread and one Gluten free. The... More

i lived in maine for 21 years and knew a fair # of places in this area but we had a business dinner/meeting scheduled and I asked my business partner to pick a place and she recommended this. Figured it would be some old school tavern in an old building with wooden beams but it is in a renovated sprawling... More

I have been going out to eat in restaurants all of my life and have tired of practically everywhere I have "loved." But I will NEVER, NEVER tire of The Village Tavern. The food is the best food I have ever had, and that is true for every course--appetizers to die for; salads that are innovative and wonderful; delicious, also... More

The quality of our food was outstanding. We were particularly impressed with the staff, as to how well they worked together to make our time there extremely pleasant.

The service and food at this restaurant are both top notch. David the bartender is great and very attentive. Rich and Tina have done a wonderful job at turning an old run down market into a warm and inviting meeting place. Get there early as there is often a wait (even in the offseason). The blueberry plains martini is to... More

We skipped lunch to have an early dinner here because the place is always mobbed. We arrived 4:45 on a Sunday afternoon and the place was already filling up. By 5:30 it was full and when we left at 6:00 there was a line that spilled out of the door and down the walkway. Service was excellent, from the greeting... More

Nice, comfortable place to eat. I had my favorite: glass of wine, soup of the day (tomato bisque) a spinach and feta salad, good, hot and crusty bread, and dessert (dark chocolate tart with almonds). Everything was prepared and served well.
