Wife and grandkids and I were staying at a local resort and were headed to Mickey D's for breakfast. Saw Ship's and decided to eat locally. Saw lots of local car tags there - so had to be good place to eat. Glad we did. Staff was very friendly, food was delicious and very reasonable. I had omelet, wife had... More

I've eaten here MANY times and up until today, I have been completely satisfied with the food and the service. However, today I ate lunch and the regular server (the owner) was not there. I had a hotdog and fries and when I paid, my bill was almost $10.00. On the menu, a hotdog is $2.95 and fries are $1.95.... More

We came here for an informal lunch at the recommendation of friends. It made for a good on-the-road stopover. It's open mornings until 2:00, with breakfast always available, plus a variety of sandwiches and more substantial dishes -- typical traditional diner dishes, but well prepared. We opted for biscuits and sausage gravy, and corned beef and eggs. No disappointments, for... More

It's just a little hole in the wall -- more like the family dining room with booths and tables. Owners were more that friendly, very engaging. Food was superb. Ordered Lenny's Chowdah and a BLT. I didn't read the description and was pleasantly surprised. Instead of clams, it was loaded with lobster. Very homey place with everything made from scratch... More

This place is the best around. They open at 5am and that's the best time to go. The waitress has a spider sense for your coffee level, you won't run out for long. Food is wicked! Might take a bit if the place is crowded. Super cheap. This is where the locals go, period.

Delicious blueberry waffles with lots of wild Maine blueberries and tree (maple) syrup. Tina, the waitress was very friendly and offered tips on local sights. A couple at a nearby table overheard us talking about the hash, and asked the waitress to bring us a sample. Delicious! They also bake 5 different breads each morning. Plan on eating here while... Great, authentic Maine diner. Try the blueberry flapjacks with "tree" (maple) syrup. Good food and fast, friendly service.

Our waitress was very friendly and our food came in a timely manner even though she had the order wrong. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his blueberry pancakes even though he had actually ordered french toast. Coffee came but there was no cream on the table. I finally got the juice I had ordered after reminding her and she also brought... More
