We came across Red's in the Travel & Leisure magazine listing the Best Lobster Shacks in Maine. It was late and dark weeknight evening in September as we were arriving in the Portland area for the first time, unsure of what to expect as we...More

Red's Eats has become a tradition for my wife and me. There are times that we have driven all the way from New Jersey to Maine JUST to get a lobster roll at Red's. It is that great! The line is usually long. But, that...More

Let me preface this review by saying I have never waited this long for food. Let me also say that it is totally worth it. Line was about an hour on a Friday mid-afternoon (around 3). People from all over the country in line. Did...More

We managed to avoid the lines by stopping by on a drizzly day later in the afternoon. We ordered a lobster roll to share. The lobster roll was filled with lobster, but the meat was ice cold. I expected a nicely buttered hot bun, but...More

Reds doesn't need another review really. The line says it all. Yes it's long but so worth the wait. The most lobster I've ever eaten in one go. An experience not to miss.

Touted as "the best lobster rolls in Maine", they did not disappoint. My husband and I were lucky enough to go around 7pm on a Sunday night, thereby avoiding the famously long lines. The lobster rolls are delicious in their simplicity and cannot be missed!!

We stopped at Red's Eats at lunch on Sunday and had to wait 1-1/2 hours to be served. Best and biggest lobster roll we ever had. Pure chunks of fresh lobster with no fillers or dressing. They give you butter and mayo so you can...More
