Love going to Goldentod since I was a child. Now I take my grandson. Good for sandwiches, ice ream, pie, breakfast. Perfect for families, great location. A landmark in the downtown area
The food is always good here as is the service. Great lobster rolls and soups. Always great fun to watch the taffy being made in the window from turning to packaging.. Ice cream is also good as are the chocolates
We went to breakfast at Golden Rod. The food was sufficient. It is a family restaurant so bringing the kids is ideal. It also has a gift shop/taffey shop. They sometimes show how they make the taffey which is fun to watch.
Meal was so so, coffee was the worst, and $3.00 a cup. The candy however was absolutely fantastic, so were the coconut macaroons.
