The view is better than the food. The service was very good. The blueberry pie was excellent. The atmosphere is lovely.

The location and service could not have been better. The food was a bit of a disappointment; quite price-y with unusual spices.
Shearwater should be five stars. It's got the decor and the million dollar view of a five star establishment, but the food is lacking. We went for a couples lunch on a Bossa Nova Jazz Brunch Sunday. There was no DJ as advertised. The people...More
I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. Despite our noting “Bossa Nova Jazz” was a supplemental playlist, other guests also read this to be a “live band” event. We apologize for our miscommunication. As for the food, I am disappointed that we clearly did...More

Quick summary: American-focused menu of small plates, mains, sandwiches, individual pizzas, with some creative flair here and there. Moderate prices for a Maine resort. Friendly, professional service. This is the restaurant at the Stage Neck Inn. We stopped by a couple of times when visiting...More
