The food here is among Bethesda's best. The building itself is older and seems cobbled together by way of knocking down walls and building corridors to connect rooms that were not actually designed to be a restaurant. I'd love to see it updated inside or moved to a more modern setting.

I think this is THE choice for seafood and fish in Bethesda. Chef Tony's is a non-chain, one location gem. Don't go for the decor or ambiance, but then again, you can't eat decor. Terrific fish dishes, excellent, attentive service. Fair prices and Tony often has some offering or deal on his website. I have yet to be disappointed. Give... More

Chef Tony loves food and variety, as he creates a fresh menu daily based on the fresh ingredients available. Try his Tiramisu from his grandmother's recipe. Yum!

I took a friend to Chef Tony's restaurant for her birthday and we had a great time. The food was very tasty and the service was outstanding. Chef Tony came to our table to check on us and have a fun chat and the waiter couldn't have been more sincerely friendly. I highly recommend this place for a nice dinner... More

Lunch here one sunny day. The food was great! Menu said the calamari was Bethesda's Best. So we decided to try it. Yup, it was awesome! The squid was tender and the peppers added another layer of taste to the calamari. We also ordered the ceviche and if we were not full, we would have ordered another ceviche. Additionally, we... You heard right - our Calamari is one of the city’s favorites! Glad to hear you were able to test it yourself so it can live up to its name. Thanks so much for sharing all these stars with these fine TripAdivsor folks, it means a lot. More

Crab cakes was a 5! My dish was different and a 3 can't really remember it but similar to salmon. Also no issue with parking, no wait other than to get a high chair for my infant. Good experience overall.

Overall, the food was very tasty. I had the Lobster Pasta - it was extremely flavorful, but I was hoping for a bit more lobster. My wife had a Blue Moon beer, but it wasn't cold and they ran out of glasses (she asked for an orange slice, but it was denied). Our drinks took a while to be served.... More

The steak kabobs, coupled with cucumbers and plantains was very nice. Very satisfying, filling without feeling like you've over done it. The bread pudding and especially the whiskey sauce were delicious. A refreshing change of pace. The staff were also very attentive.

Chef Tony's consistently serves great seafood. Calamari and carrot soup on the appetizer menu were very tasty. Our party of 4 people tried 3 of the fish offerings and all three were very nice. Overall a nice dining experience at an affordable price point.

I was looking for a restaurant in the Bethesda area and went to Trip Advisor for suggestions. Chef Tony's was rated very highly and after reading all the positive reviews, we went with it. We were NOT disappointed. There were four of us. We each ordered various omelettes from the menu. One asked to omit the Parmesan cheese. Our waiter... More
