We went for restaurant week for dinner. The exterior is covered with frescoes of the French countryside, which lends a nice introduction to the restaurant. Inside it is set up with various areas separated by walls off stuffed seating that helps to keep the noise in check. The food is superb in flavor & presented nicely. We had the Roquefort... More

Found the restaurant through TripAdvisor. Bouillabaisse was fantastic. Mushroom soup even better. Small and unimpressive to look at, but give it a shot! You won't be disappointed.

Last visited this destination more than a year ago, but remembered the wonderful experience and the willingness of the kitchen to accommodate to my medically required low sodium regimen. Even though the house was full with Bethesda Restaurant Week diners eager to taste the 3-course menu for $36, the chef still prepared another dish for me, a delicious skate entree....so... More

It is Bethesda Restaurant week so we thought we would revisit a restaurant we hadn't visited in years. What a great idea! We went for lunch and sat in the small but quiet and peaceful middle room. Our waiter explained the restaurant week choices as well as some of the entrees offered. My husband had bouillabaisse and a mussel stew... More

Though we'll give the place a shot and see if it would be a tasty alternative to La Provence, one of the other Frenchies in town. Even though staff was nice and ambiance cozy, the overall experience was sort of average due to dishes not being too interesting. Overall it is a bit surprising to see this restaurant topping La... It was an interesting evening. Parking was very strange. The valet was behind the building in a parking lot. We would never have found him without a text from our daughter. We had a 6:30 reservation and were seated promptly. For appetizers my wife and I ordered the foie gras. My daughters had the lobster bisque. We received a huge... More

As an appetizer I had the roquefort terrine, accompanied by apples, which was delicious. For the main dish, tender braised beef with mashed potatoes and carrots, which was also excellent.

Recently, I had promised my wife I would not give out a 5th star unless every aspect of the entire meal was perfect. I am going to cheat...but just a little. My wife and I recently had dinner here. We selected items off the prix-fixe menu. Our cocktails were good. (....but not great. So this is where I am "cheating"... More

I have had dinner at this restaurant about 6-8 times over the past decade or so. It has always been excellent - better than far better known and more expensive restaurants in D.C. Four of us had appetizers of salads, sweetbreads, tuna and they were all great. The mains of lobster fricasse, calves liver and duck leg also. Wine list... More
