Absolutely a joint .. but great for crabs and beers .. everything else is just typical bar food.A great place for a group .. especially if you are on the rowdy side! LOL

We only ordered sandwiches a Crabcake & Oyster, it comes with chips, but we ordered fries. The bag of chips is a joke we taken them along and when opened them later on they had about 5 whole chips and some broken crumbs. Although the crabs others were ordering looked awesome and others were commenting they were full and good.....pack... More

My sister and I stopped here to have some nice, fat, steaming crabs. We both ordered the AYCE $45.95 'special.' What a disappointment! The crabs were barely warm, flavorless, small and pretty dirty (more so than crabs usually are). My guess is that they were old crabs that had been around for awhile. The crab soup, salad, and corn were... More

We found the Tap Room by chance and the lure of crabs and beer was enough for us to give it a try. Big mistake. The service was decent, friendly and, while not exactly prompt on a moderately paced Thursday evening, it was acceptable and friendly. That and their $10 pitcher of Goose Island IPA got the second star. The... More

Still the best place for crabs in the Upper Chesapeake Bay area. $44.95 per person for all you can eat crabs, jumbo shrimp, fries and corn on the cob. A great value, and the crabs are full and a very nice sized (No. 1)..Service was excellent. Left the restaurant...full and smiling. Nice job by all.

A local recommended the Tap Room for lunch. We were glad we took his advice. If you enjoy crab, lobster, or shrimp, this is reasonably good place for a casual meal. Cash only (ATM on site).

Who knew you could get a Philly cheese steak in this Tap Room famous for their table-full crabs! We all enjoyed our visit there and plan to return!

My wife and I went to the Tap room to celebrate our anniversary and eat crabs. The crabs were very dry and not much flavor. They appeared to be overcooked. This experience was not like previous trips. We will go to Woody's next time

The Tap Room is a hole in the wall, no frills, no fuss restaurant that serves a variety of entrees but clearly concentrates on their crabs. We just had another serving of their garlic crabs and they continue to be, "to die for!" They pop the top off the crab, clean it and dump garlic and some herbs on top,... More
