This was our second time stopping at this restaurant on our way north. Location on the water is great and the food never disappoints.

A short note to say that, again, we had a wonderful lunch at Fish Whistle with several friends. It is reliably consistent in serving good food. And while the quality of the service can vary, it was spot-on this visit.

A very casual place in décor, the restaurant sits right on the Chester River and does have tables outside too. I had a pear and greens salad that was super delicious, and melt in your mouth pieces of fish from the fish and chips. I had the waitress ask the kitchen to send only half the fish because I thought... More

My wife and I headed here for lunch before a local artists show on a sunny and cold Sunday. We arrived about 1:00 and were seated at a table with a great view of the river and its antique bridge. Katie quickly came and took our drink orders...my wife a nicely poured Rodney Strong SV and I had a Dogfish... More

Right on the Chester River, this place offers good mid-Atlantic/southern seafood cuisine: fish and chips, crab, catfish, you-name-it. Visiting with a friend who works in the area, we came here for lunch and was not disappointed. The patio is a great place for lunch or dinner, weather permitting of course. The only complaint I had was service was a tad... More

This restaurant is right on the river in Chestertown with a lovely water view from the dining room, as well as an outside patio. We did not sit outside as it was a little chilly and breezy the day we visited. The menu has a lot of choices with seafood prominently featured. The crab dip served with a warm soft... More

Staff is great, you get a view of the river anywhere you sit, and the food is good to very good. Sit in the bar if you want to just relax and watch the screens on every wall, or the dining room is a bit more quiet. If you want cloth table cloths, head up town, if you want to... More

As I was sitting to eat my dinner tonight, late with some friends- I was horrified to see who I found out was the manager, walking through the dining room with a PLUNGER! A dripping, toilet paper covered PLUNGER! I was horrified I wanted to leave right away, I was so excited to visit Chestertown- and this experience made it... More

Maryland had a couple of days of 60 degrees weather and my husband had to take off work for a doctor's appointment, so afterwards we made a little road trip. We didn't intend to end up in Chestertown, it just happened. Sometimes we come across fantastic places that way. We stopped for a late lunch. First, the restaurant had a... More

A group of us ate here one night. The seafood was good and the service prompt. We enjoyed it enough we returned for their Thursday night "all you can eat Oyster" special. It is a terrific value if you are an oyster lover. They serve them every way but steamed.
