I have been going to this restaurant for 15 years and it is one of the best in any state and country! There is always something unexpected, fresh and delicious from the kitchen and the service is unmatched. We have dined for special occasions and attended their specialty events and have never been disappointed. this is truly a hidden jewel... More

Found this hidden gem on Trip Advisor as a great place to get a meal - and the reviews couldn't be more correct. Our party of 4 arrived for a business dinner and were quickly seated in one of many small rooms. The restaurant is in a historic building which was reported to be over 200 years old. The grounds... Furnace Inn was once a private home so the dining areas are unique and intimate. The staff are very friendly and informative and do an excellent job of describing and explaining the variety of dishes. The menu changes quarterly with the seasons and offers dishes not commonly found, for example the rabbit porterhouse with venison and duck sausage accompanying it... More

Twelve of us gathered for a supper, and the entire experience was excellent. The building looked historic and the owner/chef ended our evening by explaining the history of the building. We had our own room and the entire service team was great. Appetizers, entrees and desserts were all outstanding. It was not unexpensive but this is a restaurant most worth... More

Old friends were visiting here, but staying near BWI airport. Here is where TripAdvisor was so valuable, pointing out this restaurant as a good one to consider. Indeed, it was. As long as I've resided in this region, I was unaware of this historic house very near the airport. What a find. The restaurant is in a house built in... More

I am saddened by the fact that you could not find anything that you liked to eat. It puzzles me that when we offered to get you something else more to your liking, you refused. When we have a guest who dislikes something, we remove that dish and give them a menu to select a replacement. This way, they can... More

The restaurant is an absolute gem. First, the setting in an historic in is beautiful. It is an amazing old building on a great setting. Once seated, you are met with a string of servers to get you started and make sure that you have the best dining experience. Service was fantastic by a waiter that really knew the menu... More

Our first dining experience here last night. The appetizer special "a little spice in your life" was SUPERB! The food (NY Strip, Stuffed Rabbit, Chicken) were all excellent. My wife indicated the crabcakes could have used more flavor, as they were a little bland. The wine and drink lists were very good. While we were too full for dessert, the... More

Derrick...'thank you' for your glowing review. We appreciate your kind words. I have passed your review on to the Chef and asked him to look into the crabcake issue. Perhaps someone failed to follow our recipe properly. Thank you for your input as we can only get better when we are made aware of problem areas. We look forward to... More
