Hands down the best crab cake I have ever had!
Until Pappas, my favorite was Mikes Crab House in Edgewater MD. Pappas’ was large and full of lump crab. The two sides were loaded baked potato and green beans almondine....also cooked to perfection and a generous portion.
This Marylander now living in FL, visiting MD family. What a fantastic dinner at “home”.

We all enjoyed our meal, We celebrated with three couples for dinner and when we asked for separate checks they said they didn't do separate checks. Funny thing, they can't do separate checks but they can take separate payment from each couple, some with cash, some with credit doesn't make sense. It would be nice if they could change this practice since most other restauranst can do this for the customer.

I have heard that their crab cakes are to die for so I had to try them. We went on New Years Eve with three other couples. The crab cakes are good but not he best and that's not good enough for me. There was no jumbo lump crab meat in them and that's the sign of a really good crab cake. There was a fair amount of filling in them.
The lobster bisque was excellent. They have a strange mashed potato that is in a aluminum cup cake tin.
Next time I go I'll try the scallops.

He has her heard so many great things about this restaurant and we were looking forward to trying their crabcake that apparently is Oprah‘s favorite but once we had it we realize that Oprah doesn’t know anything about crabcakes. Crabcake that we had and several of us add them was definitely made with Asian crab meat or Venezuelan grab me and not local grab me like they told us it was. Her server was very good everything else was fine but you could definitely taste the difference between Atlantic blue crab and whatever kind of crab meat they use at Pappas. Save your money

you can tell enough about a place and how they care about the food based on how they prepare their fish and chips.
The fish and chips here is as unimpressive as the crabcake is good.
Obviously this place is known for its crabcakes because they really do produce a quality product there.
The fish for the fish and chips? It appears to be flash frozen pre-breaded and ordered from a food distributor, and the only reason I say that is I had the exact type and shape of fish brick in a restaurant at the Denver airport on the other end of the country.
Don't try to fish & chips here. You will be severely sorely disappointed unless you like uninspiring, bland, dry fish.
For those who want to say this place is known for their crabcakes, fine. I have no issue with that but instead of trying to be everything to everybody take the food off the menu you don't know how to prepare and you don't know how to prepare food if you have to order it frozen to begin with.
The steak was the most perfectly cooked yet amazingly tasteless piece of meat I've ever seen. I don't know how you do that but someone in the kitchen has managed to accomplish taking all flavor out of a steak.
They have a great selection of drinks and the service is exceptional.
Try other things on the menu and you're likely to have a great experience, but if you have your heart set on steak or fish and chips, I'd recommend Outback or Long John Silver's for a better quality experience.

The food was great, we had to wait for a little bit, but the Maryland crab cakes and the cream of crab soup were definitely worth the wait. The crab cakes were huge. Our server was a very nice young lady.

After playing in our annual softball tournament this past Saturday, many of us stopped at our usual restaurant to enjoy food and drinks as we do every August! We were all able to sit in the bar area and watch one of the many sporting events on several TVs. Our servers and bartenders were great as usual. We had pot stickers, wings, Octopus, chicken wraps, and a wedge salad! Others had many different food items too! Of course, cold beers and mixed drinks. Great place, large selection of menu items and great servers!!! Always our priority stop when in town!!! See u next time!!

I was in Glen Burnie, Maryland and heard that Pappa's had a very good crab cake. This was a case of HIGH expectations met with LOW delivery of product. Because I had a time constraint, I ordered my meal to go and worked online in my car for the 30 minute wait. The crab cake was beautiful to look at and raw in the middle! I didn't go there for the onion rings, so I won't mention them in this review. The crab cake cost $30. $30!

This is my favorite crab house in Glen Burnie. I eat there a couple of times when I am in town. Seems that they've added a little filler to their crab cakes but considering the way the price of crab has skyrocketed it's not surprising and they are still the best!

This place is great, just got crappy service tonight from what I assume was a new employee. Sat at the bar, and was waited on after several others had been sat, in fact over 25 minutes until I got waited on. I ordered my crab cake (really, really good) with mac and cheese and a side salad. When my food arrived via the food runner, the bar tender told him I had a side salad. The salad carrys a $1 extra charge. Ok, if the salad comes after the meal, so be it. I never got the salad. When the check came I told my server that I never got it, he got the $1 taken off. Come on! What about the second side that comes with the meal. I must have been in a bad spot or something. I come here on business travel every 2-3 months. I will make sure I get the taller young lady to wait on my. It wasn't even that busy for this restaurant. Love this place, just upset I had a crappy experience after looking forward to it all day.

We started getting carry out here a lot when covid started allowing carry out only. We consistently see them adhering properly to guidelines. We get the crab cakes almost weekly but lately they’ve changed. One week they had lots of shells and then since then they’ve had a lot of filler in them. Not sure what changed but hope it changes back. They were my favorite crab cakes of anywhere before they changed.

So great tasty portions with crab cakes and fresh seafood. We enjoyed huge seafood platter and got to share it.
Amazing full of crab cake very rich and nicely done.
Fried oysters was a GEM.

This was my first indoor dishing experience since COVID started and it checked all the precautionary boxes. The seating was amply spaced apart, I was comfortable the entire time...our waitress, Shandy was awesome. The food was delicious.

Decided to have the the dish they’re famous for, the Crab Cake. Was not disappointed! Probably the best I’ve ever had. My choice of sides were green beans and slaw, both were very good. My waitress was friendly and efficient and kept my tea glass full!

Pappas sports bar at Glen Burnie offers a solid operation. Each access. Friendly staff and well prepared dishes. I opted for the crab cake sandwich and couldn't resist the shrimp bisque, which was excellent.
