I have never had an issue when I ordered out from here before and generally enjoy what I get from Sake. The portions are great for the price! The sushi is very fresh and not fishy. I was missing two slices of sashimi out of my chirachi bowl tonight and the bowl was very disorganized in its arrangement. I get Jalepeno on the side With this dish and instead tonight the dish had the peppers scattered all over the bowl instead of on the side in a Togo cup. I had to fish all the peppers out of the bowl to be able to consume the chirachi dish in the way I desire. The miso soup that came with the entree tonight was just broth and contained no tofu Or seaweed. The steak contained many chewy fat bits and was pretty hard to eat. Half of it I had to throw away. It’s pretty hard to get a gyoza wrong. Those actually came out fine. I have ordered from here a few times and have never had an issue with the quality of the food I have gotten. Tonight was a more careless night from kitchen staff and I was a tad disappointed. Not to say I won’t not be ordering from here again, this just happened to be my experience this evening.

My family and I went to the new Sake Japanese Steakhouse (at the Foundry Row location in Owings Mills) for dinner. The staff was very nice. The service was excellent. Our waiter was Tenzin and he was so kind, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Chef Kelvin did a phenomenal job and the food was delicious. If you’re a big eater don’t worry the portion sizes are More than enough. The food tasted so good. I highly recommend going to this restaurant. We plan to visit again soon🙂.

No lie the half price sushi is where it’s at. The edamame is fire and the sushi is really really good even considering it’s always half priced. I don’t usually do the hibatchi but if you get a hibatchi entree you won’t leave hungry. Great service.

This used to be a great restaurant. No longer. Very disappointing experience here. Terrible service and we waited over 1-1/2 hours to get our sushi. Food came out sporadically. One person ordered soup which came out fairly promptly. The rest of the first courses - salads & spring rolls - came out sporadically. Spring rolls were cold and greasy the avocado in salad was brown. Then we had a very long wait before some in our party received their sushi and another 20 minutes before the rest came out. No drink refills or plates or soy sauce. Just a general disaster.

Great HH in the area. Can't find better quality sushi and drinks here. The tuna, spicy salmon, yellowtail, and pork gyozas are must orders. The Soho lychee martini, Japanese sunflower and toyko tea were delicious. Fun vibes are happy hour. Place gets really crowded so you may have to fight for a table. If you want some where quiet this is not your spot.

Food is delicious for sure. Large portions and we love the half priced sushi. The service was okay this time though. Not great. Not sure why but it was remarkably less good service. Restaurant was not busy either when it usually is.

The best! The hibatchi is great and very entertaining. The sushi is always half priced and they even include some of the specialty rolls. I can not visit sake enough.

Very good food. Best Pad Thai I have ever had (I have tried Pad Thai at many restaurants). Generous kitchen entree portions. Very attractive food presentations. Delicious soups.
Generous drink portions. Excellent fast, friendly service. Indoor fountain and background music help create a warm, peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. We plan to return soon.

My fiance and moved to the area recently and were in the mood for hibachi. I found this place on trip advisior. Based upon the previous reviews, we decided to try it. The interior is beautifully decorated and everything was great1!

I love hibachi restaurants, but don't go often because something always seems to be a little off. Usually the food is good, service is spotty, waitresses are rude, etc. I was very pleasantly surprised however on my recent visit to Sake. Everything was on point! The atmosphere is much nicer than I'm used to at these type places. There are pretty strand lights and a bridge and running water pond upon entrance. The restaurant is very spacious and has a separate "station" for sushi, a nice center bar area, a table service area for the regular menu and the hibachi area. According to the website they have 2 private dining areas as well though I did not see those. I ate at the hibachi area and the service was excellent. Arriving a little before 6 pm with just 2 in my party, I waited a while for others to join us at the hibachi which was fine with me. We were joined by 6 others, but unfortunately 4 decided not to stay so we were left with a total of 4 at the hibachi table, a little less fun when doing that type of dining, but I appreciate them not making us wait any longer. The waitress was awesome, thorough and attentive. I never had to wait for a drink refill. The chef was entertaining and the food was delicious and plentiful! We were offered the opportunity to catch veggies in our mouths though no one at my table partook. I had the steak and shrimp hibachi. My steak was tender, vegetables crisp and fresh, and this is the only hibachi place I've ever been to that gives you both lo mein noodles and rice with your order. The per usual salad and mushroom soup were there as well and good. When the chef was done, we were not rushed to eat or leave as I've experienced in other places. And the prices are fair as Japanese steakhouses go. And though I did not eat at the bar area, I noticed several nice happy hour specials offered there as well. Though Sake is not near my home, I will DEFINITELY continue to come here for hibachi over others I could go to that are closer. Great job!

Sat at the bar and had sushi and drinks. The Tokyo Tea was fantastic. A twist on A Long Island Iced Tea, it's packs plenty of punch but tastes of citrus. Only $5! They have about 25 rolls that are 1/2 priced. All were excellent.

Having lived in Okinawa for over 5 years, I have eaten many Japanese food dishes. Sake, has a nice selection of Japanese foods, mostly are American favorites. There are many food dishes that are missing, and there are some new and innovative dishes that are very good. There were 6 of us that ate here today. We picked table service instead of the hibachi or sushi eating areas. The service was quick (two wait staff came to our table to get us our drinks, pour us some water and Ices Tea and a couple of beers. The service was quick (about 10 minutes) and we were given plenty of time to make our selections for apps. and main dishes. It did take about 15 minutes to deliver our hot tempura, gyoza, Maryland roll and coconut shrimp! We all liked the gyoza (very good), their veggie Tempura was just as good as what was back in Japan, their coconut shrimp was fantastic, and the Maryland roll (new type item) was very innovative and tasty! Our main dishes included a small salad, and a traditional mushroom soup that was definitely Japanese! We ordered mixed Tempura dish (lots & lots of good food on that dish), chicken Udon (huge bowl with lots of noodles), the Pineapple rice dish (great presentation and large amount of food), dinner size coconut meal (again huge serving of great food), short ribs (nice size and lots of terriyaki sauce on them) and plain Udon soup bowl. We all enjoyed our dishes (shared some with others to give them a taste (as two of them had never eaten Japanese food before). our iced water and ice tea glasses were kept full and we were asked how the food was several times and we always replied "Great"! In the end we 4 boxes of food to take home to finish, our new comers ate all their food, and we were in very good spirits with full bellies. My wife and I have never had a bad meal here, and the service sometimes is a bit slow, but mostly when there is a large group or the place is packed. And sometimes, if you pick the hibachi, you will have to wait for the table to fill up before the chef comes out. Yes, there are many Japanese Hibachi restaurants in a 20 mile radius, but there are only a few where you can sit down at a table and pick other items off the menu. I have been in other Japanese Hibachi restaurants around America that charge much more for much less food and do not have the quality of what we received here at Sake. I would recommend that you try the hibachi and on your next trip to Sake, try the regular tables near the front door and pick from a whole different list of Japanese foods!
