My mom and I have been coming here for a long time. Each visit has been great. The service is excellent and the food is fresh and delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the menu choices. I normally order trucha a la plancha which is fried trout with white rice and a potato or I get their lomo... More

Had the chupe de camarones which was amazing!!! Large enough as a meal by itself . Couldn't stop myself and ordered ossubuco dish. Tender off the bone and wonderful sauce. This is their signature dish in my opinion. You won't be disappointed. Only criticism is that the place is usually crowded (which is understandable with the food quality) so service... More

I never expect a strip mall restaurant to be spotlessly clean and beautiful inside, but La Limena is. The carry out display cases are the first things you see - beautiful presentation. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the quarter white chicken with yuca and a side salad. Although I've had more flavorful Peruvian chicken and sauces,... More

We come often for the Peruvian chicken (1/4 white meat)--delicious. Also had empanadas for an appetizer. Service ok, because had a trainee. Looking forward to new place on Pike.

As close as Peruvian food that you are going to get in DC metro area. Ceviche is superb, lomo saltado is the way I remember and the Anticuchos the way my Mom used to make them.

The food at La Limena is excellent. It is also authentic Peruvian food. But the main point is that, as anyone who has traveled to Peru can attest, Peruvians take food seriously and La Limena tries to maintain this standard. They are always full whenever I go, their popularity speaks for itself. The staff are very warm and helpful. Peruvian... More

Great soups besides the chicken. The variety of Peruvian classics is good. It's informal dining, very attractive atmosphere.

Lets see...this is a small regular place to eat...prices has risen non-sense, food it's good but service is awful. We paid $60 for an appetizer and an entree, before leaving I wanted to buy dessert and the cashier said "$10 is the minimun for credit cards"...come on! I just spent $60 ! Of course I walked out of the restaurant... More

Only negative is that it is so popular it can be hard to get a seat. Wide variety of Peruvian dishes and wait staff a great about suggesting the best dishes. Decor is casual but not too casual. Just not a really fancy place.
