A large selection of doro wot (spicy, tart chicken leg), yebeg tibs (spicy cubes of lamb), assa goulash (tilapia in berbere sauce), vegetarian sampler, and shiro bozena (beef with chickpea sauce) served over a large dish covered with injera. We used a seemingly endless supply of injera to enjoy all the saucy food, and finished the injera on which the... More

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The food is spectacular, you actually eat your plate! The food is served traditionally on a special flat bread that you use to eat with. The flavors are intense, in a very good way. Try the authentic Ethiopian beer, its light but good! The service is second to none!

I have lived in Ethiopia and eaten at many of the Ethiopian restaurants in the DC area. Sheba is exceptional. They have an unusually large and creative vegan/vegetarian menu, with many more options than you find at a typical Ethiopian restaurant. They are also super family friendly, and almost always have families with young kids (a plus for me, although... More

I am a pescatarian and Ethiopian food is very veggie friendly. This was my first Ethiopian restaurant visit. It was quite good. My favorite were the lentils. I will definitely be back to try more plates.

This place is so very tasty! My wife is vegetarian, and it's hard for us to find a place that pays equal attention to vegetable and meat dishes. Sheba excels at both. The good: 1. THE FOOD! My wife enjoys the vegetarian and vegan samplers. I love to come on Thursdays and Sundays for the kitfo (seasoned raw beef) specials.... More

Had good food here, in a restaurant in a small strip mall off Rockville Pike. The dining room is small and clean. Food is very tasty.

Got there early and the place was almost empty - it was Tuesday night, and I'm sure it will get crowded later in the evening....the dining experience was that good! Let me say at the outset, I'm no East African foodie, I just know what I like - also, I like trying different ethnic cuisines - Sheba Ethiopian Restaurant was... More

I grew up in DC. I have been eating Ethiopian food for 40 years. Started at the classics in Adams Morgan, then Dukem was my go to on U street for years. I moved to the MD suburbs a few years ago and my biggest food worry was where to fulfill my monthly craving for the best food ever invented.... More

My husband and I have been here a number of times and we always manage to drag friends and family with us. The food and the place is made for an interesting dinner with lots of conversation (if you can stop eating long enough). We can't seem to not order the same stuff but have finally figured out if it... More

I have been wanting to try this place forever! So me and my friend went for lunch on a Saturday at 12. It wasn't busy, and we weren't in a rush, so it wasn't a problem that it took a while for the food to come out. It was worth the wait, got the Doro Tips (chicken) , with generous... More
