Clydes Tower Oaks is like a hunting lodge, with roaring fires and several small dining rooms. The food is pretty good, and it is quiet enough to have a conversation.

Clyde's Tower Oaks is usually a great time with very good food, service and drinks. The quality of the food is perhaps not as consistent as other restaurants we enjoy, but we still enjoy taking friends there and disappointments are few.
...and grown up summers at the horse races. Decor is fun, but food is great. Crab cakes are rated some of the best in town, but with the extensive menu this is a great place to have two or three yummy appetizers and then dessert. Also, Thanksgiving is a must. Full thanksgiving dinner with turkey or ham as the entree,... More
This restaurant consistently exceeds expectations. The food and service is excellent. Reservations are recommended for special occasions. We enjoyed beautiful lump crab cakes with asparagus, carrots and baby reds with an old bay aioli, grilled lamb porterhouse chops with polenta and roasted asparagus and grilled Atlantic salmon with orange sauce, roasted baby carrots, peas and potato latke. Desserts included mango... More
While the decor is the "faux Canadian North cabin" and it used to be a novelty, the food really, really slid to a below average quality abyss. Fried shrimps appetizer was OK, one main meal (Crabcakes) was average, another main course (lamb) was not edible. Both main meals were quite cold when served - potato puree had a thick crust... More
Food is predictably average and what a strange layout. Leave breadcrumbs if you visit the restroom after you're seated. No rhyme or reason for the multiple dining rooms and it's easy to get turned around. I've visited this restaurant several times (family & business function) and each room is equally noisy. Bartenders in the oval bar are rude and ignore... More
While we have been to Tower Oaks a number of times, this is the first Tripadvisor review. The restaurant is one of the better ones in the area. It has an extensive and diversified menu, and all of the dishes we have had were quite good and reasonably priced. On Friday and Saturday nights, it can get quite crowded and... More
This is NOT the first time I ordered the same dish for brunch--LOVE IT. BUT, the place was TOO noisy, the waitress had to raise her voice to let us know the specials of the day. BUSY place, doesn't mean that people should be yelling instead of talking to each other.

Mary what did you have to drink when you went, you may want to have a few less glasses of it next time? Exactly how would you like someone working in a Restaurant away from their family, waiting on you hand and foot, during a holiday to be dressed? You werent expecting a Pilgrim and Indian vibe were you? Because that would be not only historically inaccurate, it would be super duper racist. I doubt you even went, because If you HAD actually ever eaten there, you'd know that Clydes BUILT Tower Oaks Lodge and it has always owned that location.

I am planning to dine there with a group and I'm plant-based/vegan. Do you have options for vegans that are not on the menu? Are you vegan friendly?
