From Quaker Coachstop to John Wilkes Booth, this place is special. This beautiful stone restaurant, built in the 1700s, has a rich history which is worth Googling. Now, let's get to the menu and service, shall we? The only thing I love more than food...More

Went to the Milton Inn for a birthday celebration, eight guests. Most everyone had an excellent dinner. One steak came out medium rare instead of medium and was sent back. It took a long time to finish cooking, the rest of us were nearly finished...More

Definitely a definition of fine dining. Located in a stone building from colonial days, ( in fact, George Washington stayed here) it is mainly divided up into smaller rooms and bars for a more comfy or private atmosphere. No doubt some of the best food...More

We have eaten at the Milton Inn on numerous occasions. When they have the special lamb chops they are not to be missed.

Starting in the bar, the drinks were perfectly mixed by Nadine and large pours too (but as pricey as the Four Seasons). The bar is very historical and comfortable (circa 1740). The locale is rustic and green and beautiful. The dining room is also formally...More

Food and service always on point. We always enjoy our date nights here. Came with a group of friends once and service was still great but the food was a little disappointing that day: writing it off to a super busy kitchen because of Valentines...More

I was here for a brunch. The food was OK, nothing special. The place caters to elderly folks so don't expect any unusual dishes or strong seasoning. Portions are small. Our waiter was terrible. He was unwelcoming and slow. The ambiance is great, but I...More

This is our main go to for dinner dining. Service is always attentive and food is delicious. Two issues. They offer small plates which only can be ordered outside of the beautiful dining areas ( bar, small room off the bar). We spent almost 200.00...More

My husband & I bought a Groupon for $30, with a $65 value. Entrees were in the high $30's to the $50's. We each ordered an Entree. No Side Dishes with them unless you pay $7-$11 for each side dish, or a sauce for your...More

This restaurant has been on my bucket list for years. We finally made the 40 minute drive to have dinner here. The drive out was beautiful on country back roads. The house is nicely done. Our waiter was not very knowledgeable and did not possess...More

Description
The Milton Inn, a 273 year old field-stone building in Northern Baltimore County,is counted among Maryland's historic treasures. It is believed that construction of the Inn began in 1740 and it has grown and changed over the years to become one of the premier country dining spots in the United States. The tradition of excellence has continued to grow under the current ownership Milton Fare Inc, who purchased the business in 1997. Executive Chef/Owner Brian Boston was named Chef of the Year by the Restaurant Association of Maryland in 2011.Chef Boston has also received many other awards including The Five Star Diamond Award by The Academy of Hospitality Sciences , The DiRoNA Award, and top ratings from Zagat. The Milton was named The Best restaurant in the Counties by The Baltimore Sun . Over the years , the Inn has engendered a legacy of romance and numerous couples have become engaged in its candlelit dining rooms and open air garden terrace. Many return year after year to celebrate!
