I live nearby and frequent this restaurant! Definitely in my top 5 on Cape Cod. My personal favorites are the Farm Burger with the fries of course. The fries are SO unbelievably good. Another favorite is the Salmon cakes or the grilled salmon with a salad on the side. Monkey ribs and peri peri wings are a must appetizer too.... More

An established presence in Provincetown for the past few years, Karoo's proprietress opted for a larger space (which now includes an event space) in Eastham. The space is welcoming, attractive and the food is great and reasonably priced. The bartender serves up great cocktails and the kitchen staff delivers high quality plates with integrity to authentic South African standards!

Commuting to the Cape on a slushy miserable night we were just looking for a quick dinner before the final leg to Provicetown. Karro, set back from the road, proved to be a delightful suprise. The cuisine of Chef Sanette Groenwald, of Afrikaner Dutch heritage is thrilling. She had Cape Malay Stew served over tumeric rice with a side of... More

A great surprise in Cape Code, an unexpected treat of flavor. South African food that has a great flare for the unexpected combination. This is fresh and outstanding menu brings home a rich and robust taste. All the sauces are a divine creation. Compliment any entree with a authentic South African wine too. South Africa meets India in a magnificent fusion of cuisines. We were advised to stop here by friends on our way to Provincetown. We were delighted that we did as we would easily have driven by. With the warm welcome we received we knew we had made the right decision on a dark late November evening. Starting with the Combo... More

My daughter was working at the local wildlife sanctuary and suggested we have dinner at Karoo. The menu definitely has some off-beat choices. We were very happy with ours. I orderd the bobotie, a traditional dish described as a curried meat loaf. It really wasn't much like what I might have expected, based on that description, but it was very... More

After a bad experience at another restaurant, we left and went to Karoo on October 9th for dinner. We were looking for a restaurant with healthy options on the menu and that was not all seafood. Food was amazing and the service was impeccable. The hostess was friendly bringing us to our table. Our waitress was very friendly, asked if... More

From the samosas to the malva pudding - they were the closest I have had to the food I've eaten in South Africa. The samosas reminded me of those we have purchased on the street in Cape Town and the malva pudding was just like my cousin made. Each member of our group of 4 tried a different main dish... More

Have driven past Karoo many times but always skipped because my kids are not adventurous eaters. So sad we didn't go earlier because everything we tried was delicious - samosas, monkey ribs, peri peri shrimp, Durban bunny chow. We will definitely be back!
