It's a New England clam shack overlooking the traditional New England marsh with seating inside and out. One Friday for lunch, two grandchildren were out the door and in the car when I mentioned this place - one of their favorites. We ordered the large...More

After a beautiful hike in Ravenswood Park enjoying the fall leaf peeping, we stopped at this "joint" along the highway. The location has a beautiful view of the Essex river. Most of us ordered the fried clams with fries and ate every morsel. One of...More

Ok, it was a clam shack tour but that night I was jonesing for fried scallops. Best clam shack decision I’ve ever made! Huge, enormous, plump and juicy mollusks fried just so...it was fried food nirvana. I say get the scallops!!!

We went here specifically because we saw it on the TV show, "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives." My husband and I shared the fried clam basket and a lobster roll. Both were delicious, but we've had better in Harwich/Chatham/Dennis. The bonus to JT Farnum's is the...More

Wow, great food! Bring your cash, no credit cards. And they even make gluten-free fried food. Scallops were they best, but can't say a bad things about any of our choices... Calamari, Clams and the Chowda....yum!

Quick stop on our way out of Rockport. Had a bowl of clam chowder and fish tacos; both were excellent!

Should be number one. Absolutely the best. Others don't even come close. Quaint with a terrific view and hometown feel.
