Good seafood at a fair market price. The portions are huge so be prepared to take home a doggy bag. Never left hungry!

This restaurant has excellent food, us consistently good, and serves large portions! I was never disappointed.

My husband and I went here based on the good reviews. I was immediately turned off when I walked in and should have trusted my gut. It's small but not quaint. It had an off smell, and yes, I know it's a seafood place but it wasn't right. The tables and chairs are old, ripped, stained. Don't get me wrong,... More

We stayed at Gloucester for a couple of nights and were recommended to try here. And we were glad we did. Don't be put off by the exterior. It's very small like a large portakabin and quite honestly doesn't look very inviting. But once inside that all changes. Very popular with the locals but it's very friendly. We were there... More

Dropped in for dinner with my Dad, "The Cardinal", due to his striking resemblance. Dad had one of my very favorites, the scallop scampi. Piled high (and I mean HIGH) with loads of scallops...it never disappoints. I had my other favorite, the Chicken Abbruzzi, with flavorful artichokes and lots of chicken. Our waitress, Nicole, was the absolute best even though... More

Stop at The Causeway for a late dinner . This place was recommended by a few locals. The two of us both were not that hunger but we're told by all that The Causeway is know for their large portions. The atmosphere was low key, no worry kind of place where the focus is on the food instead of hiding... More

Maybe this has great reviews for the fried food, which we did not have. Place was full of patrons at 12:00 Sunday. Very casual. Unimaginative food, surf n turf tasted like they bought frozen shrimp from grocery store, threw on some butter and crumbs and baked it. Same w steak, not flavorful at all. Flavorless coleslaw. Coconut haddock not fabulously... More

It's pretty efficient in terms of how much food you get for the cost, and it's good quality, but the wait can be pretty long. That might be due to the fact that it's one of the few places like it that is open in the off-season.

Japanese tourists are a good indicator of a place that serves good quality fish. Whether eating at the restaurant or taking out, invariably I see a happy bunch of Japanese tourists. Clam chowder is the best in the city. Portions are big enough for the next day's meal. Viva!

As in most reviews, the meal sizes here are very generous and the price for what you receive is extremely good value. With that in mind, it is still hard not to overeat here. If you like a fried seafood platter, I am not sure you will get a better one around. The dish is huge and the fish very... More
