We'd done our homework online and thought Rubi's cafe would be the ideal spot for a light lunch. We ordered two meat / cheese platters and a bottle of white wine (the wine, by the way, was excellent) between four adults...this light lunch cost $95. When the waiter brought over four one third of the way filled glasses we asked... More

Everything about our lunch experience here was horrible. The employee who took our order was beyond indifferent. It took more than 35 minutes to make and serve one tuna melt sandwich. The tables were dirty and paint was peeling off the walls.

We have been eating lunch at Rubi's since 2013 when ever we are in Great Barrington because we love the ambience, coffee and the grilled cheese on Pullman bread. Our recent lunch was a huge disappointment. We had grilled bread sandwiches with barely enough cheese to hold them together. No gooey melted delicious cheese. Somebody rearranged the dining room too... More

We picked up a bunch of cheese from Rubiner's (associated with Rubi's) around the corner and ordered wine and bread to top it off. Great warmth in the place, very charming. Sit outside or in the a/c inside. Wine selection by the glass is limited, albeit still very good.

This is a must visit place, if you are looking for a coffee shop in Great Barrington. We stopped in for lunch and their sandwiches are to die for. My husband had a ham and cheese sandwich, and I had an egg and cheese. These savory sandwiches were made with fresh made bread that was grilled crispy and buttery. It... More

My iced latte was just perfect...the wait a bit in this busy funky quintessential New England cafe. Had to ask for napkins, straws and sleeves for the hot coffee, so not quite on top of things but friendly. Menu looked terrific, but we already had eaten lunch, but this was a nice way to complete our meal.
