Great place to eat, clam chowder chock full of clams. Not as thick as I like it, but very good. Fried clams and scallops were excellent. They change the oil frequently so everything is light and fresh. A little pricey, but well worth the money!

We've been here before when traveling and looked SO forward to coming g here well on our way to Boston from Ogunquit, ME. Prices of clams are up right now but the whole bellies are every bit worth it from this place! Fast service, friendly...More

This place has the absolute BEST fried clams of any place and it is because they change the oil and are meticulous with what they procure for their customers. I hate waiting in lines (just ask my wife) but this is the ONLY place I...More

If you are headed to the beach in these parts, you have to stop at the Clam Box. But be prepared for sticker shock as the clams are NOT cheap, and you really don't get a lot for the 20 bucks you shell out for...More

These are year in and year out the best fried clams on Boston's North Shore. The quirky yet quaint looking restaurant is typical of a fried seafood place. Wait in line to place your order, then they call your number when ready. They do take...More

Okay, since the restaurant doesn't mention this important fact on their website, I'll tell you - DON'T GO AT 2:30, DON'T GO AT 2:30, DON'T GO AT 2:30 Although we went on a Sunday afternoon, we thought it safe to try the place at 2:30...More

I have heard about this place. I have read about this place. I went to this place. I was disappointed in this place. When I am paying $28.25 for fried clams and it's called a Large I foolishly expected it to be filled, as in...More

Everything looked the same from the outside. Ordering ok. Waiting for the food gave grandchildren 25 cents for York peppermint paddies. Food comes out small portions for the price. Onion rings small and to my taste over cooked. Haddock was good but small portion. The...More

We go there every year. It is a must for anyone liking fried clams, scallops, shrimp, etc. And Ipswich is a great place. Get there early, the line is out the door but moves fast and it is worth the wait. No steamed lobster but...More

They just have the best, crispiest, tasty clams I've ever had. Bring cash or pay the ATM fee. I think they change the oil daily at 2:30 so plan accordingly. Expect a line unless you eat in the off hours.

No , they do not, unless things changed since last year. Their seafood is out of this world, although it is expensive but worth it. We ordered it to go, and took it back to the hotel we stayed at, and ate it there, with beer... More
