There are not a lot of places to eat around the area. My wife and I decided to split the breakfast special and add hash browns. We don't eat a real large quantity and we could have done without the hash browns. The pancakes were good, my egg was prepared perfectly and the hash browns were good. The waitress was... More

This place has been around on Route 66 forever and it keeps the appearance that way - but not in a bad way. They could have 'modernized' it and made it fancy but I am glad they did not. It brings you back to what would have been and that is OK by me! I ordered an omelet for breakfast... More

It's just a small place in the middle of the desert... kind of a place you wouldn't anticipate being there. The food is pretty good, and the price per portion is good. The staff, which is normally a young lady, and a cook seem very friendly. It has several pieces and pictures of a time past inside to view. All... More

Stopped for breakfast. Neat little restaurant. Bathrooms need some cleaning. Food was ok, not much you can do to eggs. Service was slow but accommodating. Nice location for a test between Laughlin and Los Angeles.

We stopped on route to LA for a coffee and lunch. Full of Route 66 memorabilia and interesting history of Ludlow. A busy cafe which serves good food and friendly staff.

We stopped off here on the way down route 66 for a coffee and a bit of cake. My wife had Strawberry shortcake, this was a piece of cake covered in tinned Strawberry's and a bit of cream. It was very sweet and sickly, I had the banana pie which I have had in several places while travelling down route... More

If you're following Route 66, this is one of the historic places you will want to stop. Just of the interstate, so easy to access. Lots of memorabilia inside and plenty of people ordering full fry ups. We just had a coffee though and the waitress comes past to top up your cup. Not much else going on in 'town'... More

I was looking for some food between Needles and Barstow, and this place was excellent. I wasn't expecting much from a roadside cafe, but the omelette was really good, and comes with hash brown and toast as well, with a choice of bread! Service was really friendly and there's interesting things to read, including the back of the menu, which... More

Great stop. We had just hiked Kelso Dunes in Mojave National Preserve and we're looking for local fare. It's a cute A frame building, next door was an old station with "Maters" cousin parked under the port. Lots of charm. We sat at the stools and watched the waitresses flurry of activity. She was friendly but very busy. We ordered... More

A nice stop with rustic decor and basic diner food. The homemade soup is recommended, I had a very good chicken burger and I heard another diner say the taco salad was really good. If you get a salad be sure to ask for dressing on the side because they really overdo it. If I come back I want to... More
